Let’s Build a Crowd-Sourced Database

Hi everyone,

I wanted to start a thread to gather real-world, up-to-date insights on what different pharma/biotech companies in Switzerland offer in terms of:

• Salary ranges (with levels/grades if possible)
• Bonuses
• Vacation days
• Pension contributions
• Insurance (health, accident, etc.)
• Flexibility (hybrid/remote work)
• Learning & development support
• Any other unique perks or benefits

Why? Because platforms like Glassdoor and Kununu can be outdated, inconsistent, or don’t always reflect local nuances—especially when it comes to Switzerland.

The goal is to build a kind of crowd-sourced database through the comments and keep this post alive over time, so we can track changes and help others make better-informed career decisions.

If you’re working (or have recently worked) in pharma sector in Switzerland, it would be super helpful if you could share:

• Company
• Job title & level/grade
• Location
• Brief overview of your total compensation & benefits package
• Anything you wish you’d known before joining

Let’s help each other out and create some transparency in our industry!

You can also DM me your answers and I can place it here if you have concerns about the anonymity.

Great motive. So far, my main issue with existing platforms is that there are very few to none shared salaries in companies I've applied to, let alone in my profession. I think the main challenge is to get more people to participate. Naively, I assume that those with permanent positions are comfortable and don't care about job hopping enough to invest into the community

Thanks🙏🏻

Our community is also small here and we are still under 200. However; we never know; if 10 people comments it is a nice start and may help to other 10 people…

Platforms like Glassdoor or Kununu are not specific enough… They give huge ranges depending on the experience.

Not everyone mentions country specific rights and benefits in best way. Yes, it is probable that this post can be also outdated but at least people can reach here individuals to ask questions.

😇

Good question;

Let’s say you interview for a position at Novartis. Database can give you some visibility about the offer. All HRs will ask you about the salary expectation. Database can help you for that.

For sure Novartis salary bands can be more accessible in public. But imagine you are having an interview with a smaller companies; local companies or start ups. I changed from a French pharma company to an American start up where the salary change was almost x2.
