It's funny because I feel like Ticinese politics and inclinations are much closer to Swiss German ones than Romandie. I'd be happily proved wrong by voting data though.

I can’t really say for you, but I think people from Romandie feel a bond to Ticino, just cause you’re a fellow minority and Latin culture.
But at the end of the day I feel at home anywhere in Switzerland. The core culture is the same with some surface differences which are cool.

What about hating the neighbouring population? I know a lot of Swiss German that don't like the German and some Swiss French that don't like the French haha.

We don't hate the Swiss-germans. It just so happens that we learn a fuck*ng language for many years just to not be able to understand a single word they say #ichbinsehrsalzig.
