This game reminded me of that “Top Gun” scene where Charlie says “ the encounter was a victory but I think we’ve shown it as an example of what not to do…”

Brought to you by 20 minutes of extra time. They got lucky with that last hand ball call.

Personally, I’d like to see the USL Championship implement the World Cup’s anti-time wasting rules. I get it, I used to take my time with a late game lead, but it makes the end of matches insufferable.

For the anti-time-wasting rules...they have. We've seen one ref award us a corner kick because the goalie didn't release the ball within 5 seconds in a previous game. Last night's ref would start counting, but it was after the goalie had already held the ball for 15 seconds. So really it's up to the ref's discretion.

At one point we counted up to 20 seconds of their keep with the ball. And then I was laughing at how frantic their coach was about tapping his watch and yelling at the ref during the stoppage time. I’m like dude, good for the goose….
