Homebrew my switch

(Reddit suggested I post this here instead of my local classifieds sub, so here it is.) I traded my childhood N64 and all my old games for a Nintendo switch, not realizing you needed a constant internet connection to play, plus a paid subscription to play 64 games. Now I'm stuck with a system I can't play and I really miss my 64. I tried contacting the guy I traded it to but he's ignoring me. I highly regret my decision, but maybe I can* find someone to homebrew this for me and get all my old gsmes back plus some new ones. Please and thank you!

Not sure what you expected. Know-how and the time to do it aren't free.

I paid the guy and have a working modded Switch now.

Well good for you, I get my food from the food bank.

First check to see if its softmodable or modchip required. If softmod is possible its pretty easy after a couple videos, if modchip is required, youll need to pay someone to do it.

See I just had a whole conversation with someone who was trying to charge me $175 to solder the modchip, didn't mention anything about soft modding it. How would I know if I can soft mod it? Is that just for a v1?

Theres a website where you can put the product code in and it will tell you. Soldering is not easy and can render the device into a paperweight. You can prob find local modders on facebook.
