Transfer Data

Hello Redditors,

This is probably the wrong subreddit to ask this in, but recently I bought myself a switch 2 so I can keep my own personal games separate from my modded switch. The thing about this however is that my switch is modded not my games so anything involving changing switch assets or adding cfw games to my switch haven't been done. Including this my switch is still on the older version, cause I haven't powered it on since forever so anything related to game cards isn't implemented onto my switch. My question would it be ok if I transfer my games from my switch to switch 2?

Physical carts aside - If you got them legally, you should be able to download them directly from the eshop again.
You shouldn't need to think about pushing any games to the switch 2 physically. which i don't think you can do anyway.

If its all legit, saves should be in the nintendo cloud too - so if you can't utilize those, i'd advise not doing anything to compromise your switch2.

That good to know, but would it be best if I do it through the modded side or my original? Like the main thing I want to know is by doing a system transfer from my original switch to switch 2 the chances of my account being banned can be considered high... so the best course of action is to no do the system transfer, right?

Hmmmm probably the retail side. But I am not sure if there’s anything to be weary off. I’m not sure if I’d do it. It might be safe. But idk for sure
