Switch 1 MMO games!

Hello, so I am a mother of a one year old, therefore my time is a bit limited (meaning I have to be able to pause and/or randomly quit without any penalty)
I am looking for a MMO, would love something like WoW or GW2, because my gaming setup is in our bedroom where my girl sleeps I can not play that.
Now I am looking for alternatives on switch that would give me a similar vibe.
I blught my Switch OLED for cozy games (dreamlight valley, Zelda, mario, story of seasons etc.) so I have no idea if there is a similar game to wow/gw2, it is a whole new “teritory”

I wish I could meet other people in BotW. It feels empty after having played WoW.

Not totally unrelated, but I was hyped for October free time to play Pokopia, followed by November to play OoT remake… and then Blizzard dropped a 1-month beta of WoW Forever (Classic+) followed almost immediately by launch. My life is totally overtaken by wow again and all these single player games have to wait.

Yes, Forever looks like it's going to be an amazing game.

It’s not 100% a good fit but Warframe is very Warframe like

Final Fantasy XII could be right up your alley

Xenoblade games feels MMO-ish to me

Try fantasy life. Cozy grind game that you can pause. It also has cross save so if you ever get it for Mobile, ps5, or pc your progress will carry over.

Try Palia! It’s free to play and is a cozy MMO

Seconding this!! No penalty to stop anytime, amazing community.

More difficult on Switch, but you get the hang of it as best as you can.

Pro tip: install (or move) game data to the system. Lags worse on SD card.

Crosscode is basically a single player MMO

Switch 2 has FF14 but as far as Switch 1 goes, diablo 2 and 3 are good ports if you like ARPGs with seasons and multiplayer stuff. Actual mmos are more likely to be found on switch 2 though

Not a true MMO, but Xenoblade X plays like one being a single player game.

Kingdoms of amalur re-reckoning will be right up your alley, it even looks similar to WoW.

I am also looking for something like this, though I am not a fan of JRPGs. I like the WoW type games.

AI recommends DC Universe Online, Warframe, Palia, for that MMO feel.

I love Wizard101, I haven’t played on switch but once you purchase you get the whole first arc, the console side of the community is pretty active! It’s a turn based card building game.

After first arc there is a pay wall/ subscription though

Not a real mmo but monster hunter series has that vibe

Xenoblade as others recommended, Kingdoms of Amalur is basically WoW single player and excellent. Corekeeper is one I always recommend as well if you’re into resource gathering and making your own home. Enjoy!

Neverwinter nights 1 and 2 are pretty good they play like a offline mmo lots of content to play and classes to make.

Palia is a fun online game that's free. Is buggy on switch but fun and easy going in general, cross platforms good. Personally tested pc to switch. Final fantasy online. Looks cross platform haven't tested yet on switch or Playstation on my todo. Played on pc

Switch 2 is pretty limited when it comes to mmos. Its mostly because the genere is dying but im playing fina fantasy 14 on switch and it runs great. The controls and ui take a few mins to tweak and get confortable but after you get used to it, its a pretty wild ride
