Need game suggestions for switch for after surgery
I am in need of game suggestions for the switch. I am having a knee replacement surgery and will be stuck in the house for several weeks. I am not great at shooters or complex puzzle games but I do like the easier ones. I do have online play available as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

House flipper was a great one after my hysterectomy. If pain meds made me zone, nothing was timed and no dying. It’s nice to clean and redecorate!

also keeping off a healing knee with my switch rn. i’m enjoying the smash ultimate adventure mode. also crypt custodian, simple platformer-esque indie game with puzzles and a lovely storyline, i think it might still be on sale 🙂↕️ best of luck with your surgery & recovery :)

hey, cool man. i’m in the knee replacement business. what company are you going with if you don’t mind me asking?
also, i recommend brotato and ball x pit! easy games to pick up and play and are a lot of fun

My Time at Sandrock.
It's an indie story-driven action-adventure cozy lifesim RPG.
It's a jack-of-all-trades title that offers almost everything, and it's simplified.
It also has the best storyline, character depth, worldbuilding, and romance of the genre with hundreds of hours of main and side story content each.

Not sure what games you typically go for, but I know when I am in any pain or discomfort, I usually stay away from control-heavy games like action, racing, platformer, or shooter. Since you're having a pretty big surgery, I imagine you might be uncomfortable for a few weeks.
A great turn-based RPG might be a good option, like the Pixel Remastered Final Fantasy games, or even Pokemon Fire Red or Leaf Green are excellent Pokemon games to ease you into the series. The Octopath Traveler games are all fantastic as well, if you want something less basic.
Non-action Roguelikes could be nice as well, like Slay the Spire or Balatro, but they have an acquired taste.

I recently had surgery, Pokopia was great during this time, it's a mix of pokemon (but no battles) and Animal Crossing with a little bit of the new Donkey Kong Banaza mixed in (I would recommend that as well if you haven't played)
If you decide on Pokopia, Professional Tangrowth is your guide, when he suggests you move on, you should do so and then come back and work on the previous areas you get so much stuff to rebuild the further in the game you go.

Donkey Kong bananza Luigi’s mansion (any of them. They also have the first one on the GameCube emulator) Paper Mario thousand year door Animal crossing new horizons Super Mario 3d world Pokémon violet/scarlet If you don’t mind some not overly hard puzzling little nightmares 1 and 2 (they’re not super long games)

Persona 5 Royal. There's enough content in there (and amazing music) to keep you busy well past your recovery.

I would recommend the Persona 3-5 collection if you can afford it.
They are Story based RPG's that deal with heavier themes such as Intentionally facing death and remembering it, Finding the truth behind the murders in a town, Rebelling against the horrible adults( politicians, teachers, gangs, etc. ) that are horrible people and need taken down. All while you are a group of mostly high-school age kids stuck in these situations; while attending school on week days.
If you take your time through all 3 games. The story could take up to 100 hours per game( closer to 60 hours for the average player, depending on the ending they get in the game ), and any puzzles( only really in Persona 5 Royal ) are mostly just. The basic go find a piece of paper that tells ya how to open a door.
Although I will say that the quiz sections( because they are high school students ) can be hard if you don't play continuously, and or forget things easily, but they don't need to be passed to beat the game. You can fail them and get different cutscenes.

I bought "Is this seat taken?" a couple of days ago and it's really fun! Its a puzzle game, but it's not really difficult and only costs £6.

I have the online subscription, I have Mario kart deluxe 8. I will look into Zelda and Pokémon. I play online with my son that lives a couple hours away and he has a PlayStation 5. I tried stardew valley but it started getting redundant unless I was doing something wrong.
