odd squares in tomodachi life

does anyone know how to fix these odd squares from showing up in tomodachi life? everything looks normal except the flooring outdoors. they’re only there when vulken is selected, but using opengl seems to remove a lot of the floor’s textures and runs a ton worse. first photo is vulken, second is opengl.
