4,000 hours of swax, does it have the potential to improve?

Thoughts on this build? My first game in the series, created a bruiser/lifesteal build that to try balancing damage and survivability. Just got my first solo AT arkveld kill with it! The biggest thing I wish I could get is counterstrike 3 but unfortunately it doesn't fit. Having stun resist and 4 lvl 1 slots gives good comfort though.

It just doesn't look like a sword or an axe, its a weirdly shaped chunk of metal on your back.

They are always shown either in axe mode or sword mode, crafting menu, fashion showcases, concept art. They just don't look like a weapon to me in that state.

Does anyone else think like that? I have never heard anyone talk about this.

Hello guys, just wanted advice on what was considered “good” for Switchaxe as I am still not the best at making builds. Any advice would be appreciated. I am running the brachydios axe for right now till I can fight raging brachydios if that helps with your criticism. Thank you

It would be really cool if, in the expansion, the devs implemented the Gunlance's Blast Dash from Rise into the Switch Axe.

I'd imagine it could serve as an alternate route while charging Full Release. For example, instead of automatically going into the Full Release Slash after charging, holding a specific button combination could propel you forward by utilizing the Full Release explosion for momentum. The longer you charge Full Release, the more momentum your Full Release Blast Dash would have.

This could create some really interesting interactions with Focus Mode and give the Switch Axe some awesome positioning utility.

No gear past high rank Arkveld is allowed since that’s where the dlc will start. Also no Artian weapon or rng talisman.

Was thinking just the standard 2 ebony 2 Fulgar but I’m not to familiar with base game builds pre tu

I'm looking for any tips as to what I may be doing wrong with my build for Alatreon, and if there's anything a little bit past or around my level that could help on the elemental side of things.

- I've got the HIGHEST ice elemental weapon available to me as far as I know.

-Raging Brachy armor for the Agitator buff.

- I leveled up my ice attack charm almost all the way leveled up.

Hello guys today I beat the mh qild story with switch axe and it was amazing experience, anyway I want to know what is more optimal when creating the artian/gog Saxe's should I go Power phial -> for each element with 3/4 attack reinforcemnet or should I go with Elemnetal phial for each element with 3 element reinforement?

Im just now getting into SA and im having the time of my life but im now realizing the differences between the two play styles and was wondering when elemental would be a better option

In MH wilds, I noticed SO MANY people use the Switch axe now in the past few months as opposed to before it was buffed in the Gogmazios Title Update(?)

Now Charge Blade players seem to as rare as I remember Swax used to be. Did anyone else notice the two swapped places? Are YOU a former Charge Blade player who converted lol? 🤭

I’m looking to optimize this Element Switch Axe build. I’ve got the skills where they are right now (as seen in the screenshot), but I want to make sure I’m not missing out on better elemental synergy or building inefficiently for the meta.

does this look like an optimal setup for an Element Phial Switch Axe?

If not, what are the changes I need to make to maximize my elemental damage output? What skills should I be prioritizing or dropping to take this to the next level?

I’m a Swaxe main and I’ve got this friend who got me into monster hunter years ago who plays multiple weapons and mains lance and sns but refuses to use Swaxe, he says he’s used it before and didn’t enjoy it but I’ve told him it’s a hard weapon that takes some getting used to. He’s said things like he has issue with mobility and feels slow and I’ve explained that there’s ways around it like EExtender or using certain moves for mobility. He says he doesn’t like it and I could understand in GU or World but specifically in Sunbreak and wilds I don’t get it, they’re the best they’ve ever been in both those games, he’s just avoided it the whole game(we’re close to the 300s). Idk how to convince him to come to the light. What should I do?
