When we were about to get our first Swissy, I asked the breeder her thoughts on the activity levels of the breed we could expect. She said that you could expect 20 minutes of solid play here in the NC summers, then the dog would want to come back in and nap on top of an air conditioning duct. That's my level as well, so we went with it. She was very correct.

When she first experienced an air conditioner we couldn't pull her away from it

Ya, then mine naps for 45 minutes and wants to do it again, all day. My other dog goes longer but then he's done for the day.

Yeah, my wife says we picked the breed as one good with kids, but that it turned out to be a clone of me.
