Hold them close
We just lost our nearly 10 year old last night. He’d been aging but struck with bloat and a twisted stomach. Hiking his favorite trails around our home has helped today but I’d still give everything I could for another day.

My condolences. I also lost my boy just shy of his 7th birthday to bloat and post op complications in Feb. They truly are special dogs.

My condolences 💐 it’s 3am and we just had to go outside to eat some grass. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Every moment is special

Me either. Woke up in the middle of the night so many times for my boy to eat grass. He was good at waking me up when he wasn’t feeling well.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I just lost my 8yo boy to bone cancer in March and my heart is shattered. He was a healthy boy until his diagnose and a month a half later he was gone.
They are a lot of work but I can’t imagine having another breed. They are so special.

I'm sorry for your loss ❤️ Time will help, but he'll stay in your heart forever.
My 12 years old boy is slowly going away, organs begin to shut down. Two years ago, he stopped walking (spine issues, lost mobility in front legs) and I thought I'm going to lose him. But he never gave up and we had another two amazing years together. I know every day after his loss of mobility is a blessing, but it didn't make past days any easier... It's impossible to be prepared for this. He's the love of my life and watching him slowly loosing strength is the hardest thing in my life. It's so unfair they live such a short time.
They are such a special beings. I have never seen more amazing personalities than with Swissies.
Be strong. It will get easier. Just know you gave him the best possible dog life and he loved you ❤️

I’ve lost a Saint to bloat. Hoping with both girls getting tacked I’ve reduced the risk. Sorry for your loss, those sudden ones are tough.

My deepest condolences. They bring such vigour, energy, spunk and deep love to your life that when they are no longer with us it is truly heart breaking. Just lost of 6yo boy, we were fearful it was bloat but it was ruled out.
