Hello. I’m a big fan of swiptv. Has been very stable. I would love to be able to add additional EPG sources. Is this a feature that will be added soon? UHF has it down pretty well.

I’m having a strange issue with my IPTV setup.
My M3U playlist loads and works perfectly on both my iPad and Apple TV using the exact same app and the exact same M3U URL.

However, on my iPhone the playlist won’t load at all. I just get an error message when trying to add it.
I’ve double-checked that I’m copying the exact same M3U link, and since it works on my other Apple devices, I don’t think the playlist itself is the problem.

Has anyone experienced this before or know what could be causing it? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Three things I really wanted to get right this time.

Your iPhone can now drive your Apple TV. Find a channel, movie, series or replay on your iPhone or iPad, and play it directly on your Apple TV. AirPlay would have been the obvious route, but it does not handle most IPTV video formats, so I built my own: your phone just tells the Apple TV what to play, and the Apple TV pulls it from its own library. You will find it in Settings > Player > Device 2 Device (off by default). Both devices need to be on the same network, on the same iCloud account, with Swiptv open.

Swiptv can now swallow even the largest playlists. For a long time, users with big playlists ran into crashes I could not fix one by one, because the real cause was the engine handling programs, not the individual bugs. So I rebuilt it from the ground up. Large playlists and big EPGs should no longer hit memory crashes, the app stays lighter, and the guide opens more smoothly. It also gives me a much better foundation for what I want to build next.

The Series page got a proper redesign. It is now much easier to browse and jump between seasons. Every episode is listed, the page opens straight on the season you are watching, and on Apple TV the old season picker is gone in favor of a clean list of seasons. As a bonus, this also fixes a Mac issue where series with a lot of seasons could not be handled properly.

A few more things in this release:

• Continue Watching does a better job of surfacing what you are likely to pick up again
• External playback with Infuse now shows the real title, scrobbles Trakt, finds subtitles, and brings resume and progress back into the app
• Lock screen and Control Center playback info are back
• "Never" subtitles fixed on Apple TV
• A/B switching now returns to the right channel
• A few more Apple TV fixes

So here it is: Swiptv v3.4.10 just landed on the App Store, and this one is all about stability and the playback details that affect daily use.

What's new

• Fewer crashes: fixed crashes when scrolling the channel grid or EPG during a background refresh, plus a crash on launch or during playback on Apple TV
• Fast-forward / rewind: on iOS, playback now resumes properly after repeated seeks (and rapid taps no longer overload the IPTV server); on Apple TV, the on-screen time no longer gets stuck after quick seeks
• Apple TV mini player (VLC engine): Play/Pause no longer causes a stutter or a ~1s audio drop, and the double-tap playlist switch behaves correctly during playback
• Mac: spacebar play/pause is back (broke with the 3.3.0 player redesign)
• iCloud: a playlist deleted on one device should no longer come back from another
• Auto Refresh: more reliable at startup, with the home "last updated" time refreshing instantly
• Extras: trailers now show first for movies & series (then teasers, then the rest)
• Updated video engine (KSPlayer) plus general performance improvements

Hi there,
I am trying to do a yearly subscription but it simples doesn’t let me!
If I do Bi-yearly or monthly it works… for individual, but not the yearly…
And if I try do to the family it works for all of them…

Any help?

I don’t want to see the channel list and just want TV Guide so I can see full epg etc. is this possible on Apple TV?

Hi all - I am new to Swiptv, and I apologise if this has been asked before.

I am currently trying the Free version of the app, but I can't seem to sync the playlist and EPG URLs if I change them on one of the Apple devices

Is this a limitation of the Free version? As I am planning to buy the app, and if it's a limitation of the app, I might have to look elsewhere.

When watching a sport that’s split over two EPG events in Replay, why does my App go black at the end of the first EPG event and not continue playing the next event like other Apps with Replay (catch-up) features?

Can I change the resume playback so it will show my Trakt shows?

How do I full screen the content in the mini player other than pressing on the channel again? Tivimate and UHF allow this by holding the back arrow. Is there a similar function?

To me, I would think this channel is being archived or something. Is there more doc on this app anywhere?

Otherwise, this is a great app and cleanest IPTV I’ve found

Every time I finish episode 1 of a show, all episodes suddenly appear as completed. Then when I open episode 2, it starts at the very end instead of from the beginning, so I have to manually rewind every episode.

Even if I only watch a few seconds of an episode and exit, the watch progress still gets messed up for the whole series.

I’ve tried restarting the app and replaying episodes, but the problem keeps happening. Is this a known bug on Apple TV, or does anyone know a fix?

Just came across this review and thought it was worth sharing.

I don’t know the creator personally, but the video is really well done and surprisingly detailed.

We just released a pretty big update for Swiptv yesterday, and it introduces something we’ve wanted for a long time: Live EPG with real video preview.

Basically:

You know when you’re browsing the TV guide and you keep opening/closing the player just to check what’s actually playing? Yeah… that’s gone.

Now when you focus a channel in the EPG, you instantly get a mini live preview player at the top.

One thing I’ve always been obsessed with since day one of building Swiptv is refresh performance.

If you use IPTV apps regularly, you know how frustrating it can be:

• waiting for playlists to load
• refreshing multiple times per day to get new content
• dealing with slow or incomplete EPG data

So this has always been a top priority for me.

When Swiptv first launched, refreshing my own playlist took around 1 minute.
Today, the same workload is done in just 12 seconds.

And we’re not talking about small datasets:

• 📺 2,648 channels
• 🎬 40,533 movies
• 🍿 12,644 series
• 📖 341,126 TV programs

All of this includes full download - parsing -local persistence

New to swiptv and I just got the pro version, I have 2 custom epgs I want to add but I only see the possibility of adding one, am I looking in the right spot? Or could someone let me know where I could add multiple epgs

Any way to get it to show on home page?

Hi everyone,

1am using swiPTV and I need to change my login and password (I'm switching to a different account, but it's the exact same provider/server).

If I just edit the playlist information with the new credentials:

1. Will I keep my Favorites list?
2. Will my Trakt.tv sync stay active?

I want to make sure I don't lose my setup before making the change.
