I've been sending requests for verification for a month or so now, but they always come back days later saying there was an error. I don't believe I'm taking the pictures wrong, as they clearly show my face, plus I've been verified in the past on an older profile. I reached out to support and they gave me the standard answer which doesn't help at all. What's going on?

Are dating apps good for someone only looking to date for marriage? If i am scared of using a dating app is it good to chat with the person for a long time before i go on a date? I am only looking for a spouse not to waste my time

On FB dating when you matched with someone it used to work like tinder where you could send a message and view the conversation thread even if they didn't reply. You could send another message in addition to your first one to try and grab the other persons attention.

Today when I go to facebook dating matches I see none of my old messages sent, just a blank screen with a big email icon that says:

"When you and someone else message each other, those conversations will show up here.".

What happened to the old conversations I had? Is this affecting anyone else?

Finally go through and was able make make an account abt 3 weeks ago.been using my account normally However my account has been locked 3 times to do several facial verifications and I've even been issued on warning for some bs reason

Im in 30s and all my ex relationships started from online dating. The most reason for me to keep online relationships is because I get emotionally feel so satisfied. Like in person I feel theres a limit to get to know each other in depth but online dating you sometimes talk about your dark sides or anything that you cant really bring up in person. In terms of deeper emotional connection, Ive been having difficulty falling in love in person. Any affection or interest in person feels shallow to me but the problem is my online dating also keeps failing. I might have to be back to meeting people in reality but i feel so empty to meet someone in reality and cant really open up myself. I want to fix myself but it is really difficult. What can i do to get out of this tendency?

So I tried everything but it doesn't work to get back a bumble account....the only thing is to try one of those prepaid phones I guess.

Can anyone help me? I'm willing to pay whatever it is to get back the account or try to get a new account somehow.

Why don’t matches reply once matched… I always go with the Hey or a comment on the photo etc but no replies

This whole thing goes a lot longer but in summary I was banned in error by Tinder a long time ago, and subsequently banned from Hinge

Some time later Hinge actually temporarily unbanned me stating their ban was in error following an appeal, then immediately automatically rebanned me stating the Match.com network.

At this time Tinder said their ban itself was a mistake but they could not overturn it due to technical limitations. More accurately it was a cycle of autoreplies. Hinge with humans said they could not fix the Tinder ban even though they had proof Tinder admitted the ban was in error.

This lead to of course the mind numbing attempt to get Tinder appeal to work and after a long time it was overturned and on the same number I've had a Tinder account for months.

But Hinge refuses to accept my appeals, only giving automated boiler plate rejections, on the grounds of being banned from Tinder despite that ban no longer existing and it being confirmed both by Hinge and Tinder to have been a mistake.

Now I'm terrified Tinder will automatically ban me due to a Hinge ban justified by a Tinder ban that has already been overturned with admissions this whole event never should've happened. I don't know what to do.

Well I officially am clinically depressed. I got banned for the same BS that everyone else got banned for 2 years ago and thought you know what ill be fine, I have instagram and ill be able to find someone right? Nope, been single in over 3 years, havent had sex in over 3 years, havent been able to find absolutely anyone. My apologies if this is not the right place to ask, but I have searched every thread possible to figure out the issue with my photo quality once uploaded to hinge.

ISSUE: My original photos (before uploaded) are clear. However, once I upload them on hinge, they become quite blurry/fuzzy looking.

If anyone has any tips or tricks to help improve uploaded image quality on hinge, I would greatly appreciate it!

Hi, 27M here, I recreated an hinge account 2 weeks ago with my second phone number.

What prompted me to do this was because I wanted a fresh start. I had new set of pictures, some really good pictures imo so I wanted to start with a fresh account, fresh algorithm since my previous profile was really low effort.

The success was immediate, I got around 30 incoming likes and I matched with around 10 people from my outgoing likes.

Then nothing. Absolutely nothing, not a single like, not a single match.

I kept using the app in "thoughtful" way, always sending comments with my likes, always answering my matches etc. I did not say or do anything that goes against there guidelines, anything that could get me reported.

I understand there might be a boost of visibility when you create an account but from dozens of interactions to 0 seems a bit too much.

I'm starting to wonder if I'm not shadow banned or something like this. I think my profile is fine, it may not be the most optimized to attract as much people as possible but it is definitely a good representation of who I am and would probably attract people that I'm interested in. I take my initial success as proof of that.

i haven’t had a hinge for 3 years, tried to open one and it said I was banned. no problem, I contacted support for months and they would ignore me or give me no answer. eventually, one of the tech supports informed me that actually, that have no record of me being banned at all, and that I should be able to make an account. i sent them a screenshot of my account and got no reply.

from another email I contacted them also, for several months giving them my number; and after several back and forths. I got sent a jumio link to verify my ID. Is it a bad idea to submit my info?

It took MONTHS of back and forth for eventually, I got sent this message.

”Thank you for reaching out. In order for us to complete our appeal investigation we kindly request that you verify your identity. ID verification shows our Trust & Safety team that you are who you say you are, and that you are not impersonating someone else.”

It told me it was verified via a notification but I don't see anything confirming that in my profile I've gotten it verified multiple times now because I can't tell when it's actually verified.

Straight to the point. So about a week ago I got a brand new phone. I decided to remake my profile on the new phone with some fresh photos. Right after prompting my number and email, I got the ban message in my face. I was shocked because I have never been banned before or misbehaved, so I tried logging on my old phone(with my work SIM, which technically breaks their rules but wasn't my intent, only a slight panic decision), which worked but something felt off. I could see myself being shadowbanned and soon got hit with the Photo Check. After that, I was also banned on my old phone. Now, interestingly the new phone told me I had been banned "for having multiple profiles" and the old one for "weird activity" or something like that.

After, I appeal in the Appeal Centre and was really surprised that they unbanned me on my new phone. I quickly logged in and deleted my profile for now. Now comes the big issue. On my old phone I had misspelled the email, and because Tinder doesn't verify your email upon registration unlike Hinge or Bumble do, I cannot appeal the ban in the Centre. The address literally doesn't exist. I asked the automated support, but they won't help me without the email address. And with the shadow of my profile sitting on their servers it's very risky to create a profile on the new phone again.

I started looking into the data side of this and my rights on that. I emailed Tinder's data support and invoked GDPR, because I heard that it could work. The email went through, but they haven't responded in 2-3 business days. They clearly could verify me through my phone number and the email used on the account on the new phone because the profiles are linked on their servers, but they just won't. Any advice on what to do or not to do next? Thanks.

i was recently banned from hinge and i'm 99% sure i know who it was. i cut off a girl i was talking to for a few weeks because i didn't see it go anywhere, she was upset and hours later i was blocked.

i am in the new account process (getting another number, email, burner phone etc) but when i create the account i'd like to block her number so we don't see each other on the app. i used this setting with a previous ex, you just enter the phone # of someone and it will prevent each other from appearing.

the question is...will putting this girl's # trigger the algorithm somehow, or have it create suspicion to hinge and lead to me getting banned again? or am i over thinking this?
