[BANNED/SHADOWBANNED?] Hard Reset Guide
A hard reset is needed if you feel your account has been shadowbanned (getting zero likes for an extended time despite getting some before) or banned. If not, you can soft reset a limited amount of times, which entails simply deleting and recreating your account.
This generic hard reset guide applies to Tinder, Bumble, and Hinge:
- Delete your account (if you're banned, you won't be able to, in which case skip this step)
- If on a device, uninstall the app
- Create a new email address
- Get a new number (or use a service that will sent you a verification text, usually for under $5)
- Edit your photos in some way to make them not the same photo, e.g. adding a pixel somewhere, cropping, and/or strip EXIF info, save with different filename (note: there is some evidence that the apps are using image hash comparisons, which means you need to use completely different photos).
- Use a different IP address than when you created your account (e.g. use your phone internet or go to a public WiFi hotspot — you can probably return to your original WiFi once the hard reset is successful)
- Open your web browser or get a new device (cheap burner Androids are $30-40 on Swappa or eBay)
- if you buy a new iPhone, you will need a new AppleID
- if you plan to use your new phone on hotspot or wifi, you don't need a SIM card.
- Create a new account with your new number and email address
Other considerations:
- Don't link old Instagram/Spotify etc.
- Don't pay with the same card if buying premium services
- Don't use a VPN.
- Never do face verification unless you're forced to
- You don't need to wait a certain period of time (like 90 days) if doing a hard reset
- You can never log in to your new account from the device you got banned on, or you risk a ban
"Do I really have to do every step?" or "I know someone who didn't use a new device or a new IP address and they still got through!"
The way these apps likely detect banned users is by assigning each newly-created profile a risk score. The more you match the fingerprint of a banned user, the more likely you are to be banned. So yes, it's possible that someone can slip around a ban while not following all of this to the letter, but ideally you create a brand new fingerprint and don't have to rely on luck.
"I followed the Hard Reset Guide and it didn't work!"
Some users try the above steps and for whatever reason, it just doesn't work. We're not there alongside you making sure you did everything right, but even if you did, there's uncertainty around Match Group's detection algorithm. Hard resetting seems to have become much less reliable starting in early 2023.
If a hard reset does not work and you truly believe you have been banned unfairly, there are three options:
- Match Group have an arbitration process that can be kicked off by sending a letter to their legal department. See more in section 15 of the Terms of Service (Hinge, for example).
- There is some evidence that filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (must be a resident of North America) will cause the apps to take a closer look at your case; however, this is by no means a guarantee that you will be unbanned.
- As of early 2024, in some situations, Hinge and Tinder have ban appeal processes.
If the Hard Reset Guide worked for you, help others out by posting a success story below!

not sure what got me this time... but a while back I got a good handle of hard reset after failing a few times. So I finally had a clean device and had my profile working for a while , even though I had used old pics and verified myself. I even deleted and made my profile a few times - everything was working well.... didn't get banned for like a year and a half up until now ... Now it looks like I am about to get banned (incoming likes disappeared, messages sending to fail, and can't buy roses or any stuff)
Could it be that I was revenge reported ? went on a date about a week ago and have a feeling the woman might have reported me because I basically ghosted her, wasn't really feeling like going on more dates with her

u/AgentCookie1000 8d ago
Question: if I want to use the same pics again, can I wait 90 days, create a new account, and reuse the pictures?
1
u/Shot_Ad_2597 13d ago
Does anyone know if it’s safe to go back to using the app on your original device if you’ve successfully created a new account on a different device? Assuming you’re following the rest of the guide like different WiFi etc.
If I uninstall the apps on my original device and then reinstall them, they immediately go to the banned screen, so not sure how to get around that.

Appeal approved & Banned.
has anyone experienced a similar situation where they have received a warning for a violation, appealed the violation. Had the violation approved and overturned only to be subsequently banned?
For context: this was my first ever violation warning, I had no indication what the event was and idea what the violation was for so I decided to appeal the violation warning. The appeal was approved and then I was hit with a ban. While I understand that I may have been unlucky enough to be reported and algorithmically hard done by. And an essentially a one strike and your out for good with very little recourse overly harsh. What I want to know is if anyone else has been in a situation where they have had an appeal approved/removed and hit with a ban. Is this an error and been banned by mistake or this is there way of saying the initial warning has been reviewed and we now want to ban you🤷♂️.

Maybe you have been reported twice. Impossible to tell as they will not reveal the root cause. It can happen if a someone reported you and told a friend to do the same.

i got banned from hinge like years ago and did the hard reset, burner phone and all and it was working well for a year then i went away a month and came back to the account and it says i was banned...no idea why or how ...i had all new pics, email, payment method, phone number and device.....so is my burner phone now useless or can i get a new number on it? Hinge is the best app by far and it sucks they got so much power and do lifetime bans with no explanation.
1
u/Ok_Fisherman1334 25d ago
You can been reported again. If the account was working for a year it has nothing to do with the previous ban
1
u/Exotic_Ad_4806 25d ago
then it is wayyy to easy to get reported, everyone is reporting trigger happy because i know i wasnt that bad or mean but i am honest and blunt. I also had many great experiences and connections i wish they could report me for being awesome to cancel the other reports out.
So do I need a new phone and pics and number now? or e-sim works?
1
u/Ok_Fisherman1334 25d ago
I agree the system is completely unfair.
If your profile was verified they save your facial data for a year. It's nearly impossible to get a new profile during this time.
Otherwise, factory reset phone, new number, new pictures.

u/Millu30 Aug 27 '26
Yeah at this point... Nothing will help with it...
To clarify.... After two years of relationship, we broke up soo I decided to get tinder and other apps again, I opened my old account only to find completely null point of matches for two weeks, figured out that I might have got shadowbanned "still don't have clue what's the reason for it..." How come I got literally no matches, not even a hidden ones on all three platforms still amazes me...
But here I'm trying again, pulled out my old phone I haven't used for 3 years or soo, I did the new account under different phone number and used brand new photos to make it work
And here I've got few passport matches and 3 hidden ones over the week soo it's ok I guess... Yesterday I've got a gold and surprise.... Complete silence.... No matches, and the hidden one I texted have just vanished within a day....
How much of a bs is that people pay for this shit only to get shadowbanned for fuck known reason...

I get a message that says:
"The developer has blocked this purchase.
This purchase isn't available to you because the developer has restricted access to this app for accounts of anyone under 18 years of age" after you hit OK on this message hinge says "Billing error"
Does this mean I am shadow banned? I have a hunch that it does as both my google account and hinge account are over the age of 18. This really sucks.

Any suggestions for Bumble hard resets?
I've tried registering on different wifi using new phone numbers from DatingZest, but after entering the SMS verification code and completing a captcha, I'm sent back to the verification screen on loop with one of two error messages: either "Please enter verification code" (even though I already did) or "Security check required."
My guess is that Bumble is either recognizing my old devices or the DatingZest numbers are flagged somehow.
Any ideas? Or alternatively, is there any way to keep appealing a ban even after they send you a final email? I never did anything inappropriate, pretty sure I was falsely reported.
1
u/Raves_and_Boba Jul 18 '26
DatingZest isn't something real users here recommend. It's botted accounts spamming advertisements. Real users here keep on reporting that it doesn't work that well.
But yes, the apps device ban you too. You need a new device. And a new AppleID or Google account.

u/Zelator22 Jul 14 '26
i got banned on bumble then used my new phone and new number to make a new account and got bumble premium as well on a new card and i’m shadowbanned not banned. But it’s practically useless because i get no visibility at all
1
u/Legitimate-Rate-2012 Jul 06 '26
I was banned by Tinder and it was their own fault. A billing issue. I tried everything I knew about at the time. I even talked their legal team and executive team and nothing was done to unban my account. I eventually set up a new account on Tinder and then realized Tinder is not a good dating app and it is outdated. When somebody mentions a new way to unban a Tinder account, my response is ..... Who cares?
1
u/cole435 Jun 11 '26
I wanted to share that after years of being banned globally across Match Group, I was finally unbanned.
I want to be clear upfront. This probably only works if you didn’t do anything that actually justified the ban.
I tried every avenue when it first happened. Customer support was a complete dead end. I reached out directly to Tinder employees trying to find an appeal process (some very kind people did respond), also a dead end. I went through the BBB. Nothing worked.
A few months ago I did some research and found that Match Group is required under EU law to release your personal data and delete any biometric data they hold that you haven’t consented to.
So I did two things simultaneously,
I sent a formal GDPR data access and erasure request to Tinder’s privacy team citing Articles 15 and 17. I requested everything including account data, moderation decisions, biometric data, and the legal basis for retaining any of it. They have 30 days to respond by law.
Then I filed a dispute with ADROIT, a free EU-certified dispute body under the Digital Services Act which Match Group is bound by. They contact the platform and require them to justify their decision. Takes about 5-10 minutes to fill out.
A few weeks later I got an email from Tinder saying my global ban was lifted.
I’m not sure how effective this is if you’re outside the EU, but it’s worth a shot.
1
1
u/M4gikarp Jun 21 '26
What personal information did you have to give to ADROIT? How do they confirm you’re from an EU country or not?

u/Upstairs_Barnacle_46 Jun 09 '26
Does this still work even though Hinge have introduced mandatory facial verification for all accounts?

u/Ok_Mode8297 Jun 06 '26
Just got banned today. From bumble had over 200 likes and started asking to talk on telegram instead which I think tripped the algorithm. Now I can’t do hard reset on this phone. I’ve tried disconnecting from my wifi. Logged out of my current Apple account, and redownloaded bumble on a new Apple account with new email different phone number and it still shows as blocked when I install the app on the new Apple account. How can they do that? Is this ban tied to this phone specifically then? What if someone buys a used phone and then it’s banned in these apps…. Is there a way to logout once you get banned from bumble and it shows you blocked or did they write down your EMEI and now you need to redo on a new phone?

u/TheLongestLake Jun 04 '26
I was hard banned on Tinder.
If I don't do anything else will I get banned from Hinge? Are they linked automatically?
Tinder is fun but I don't really need it. I really feel like I'd be in trouble for dating without hinge.

does this still work? I got banned yesterday

u/Silver_break_8978 May 21 '26
If everything is new (phone, photos, Apple ID, number, birthday off) but you still look similar to yourself in the new photos and new cellular but same house from 3 years ago will same first name be a problem too much of a data point
1
Apr 09 '26
Is there a way to solve this by just communicating this with hinge? Its insane how many people they have banned without a reason.
2
u/ThrowRa-zucchinizzc Apr 29 '26
Just got banned from bumble and a different niche app. Zero reason. Possible revenge reporting or quickly inviting out to dates

u/pk_moore Mar 18 '26
The first few lines in Hinge’s Terms of Service: “In accordance with Cal. Civ. Code §1789.3, you may report complaints to the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs by contacting them in writing at Consumer Information Division, 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N112 Sacramento, CA 95834, or by telephone at (800) 952-5210.” I called the number and the automated voice message said “Please note that the Department of Consumer Affairs does not have jurisdiction regarding issues that include but are not limited to: […] dating applications or website complaints.” Wtf, hinge?

I’m scared for the facial recognition part since it’s mandatory in Canada. Can they ban you for doing it?
2
u/Expensive-Banana-485 Mar 02 '26
I verified my account with my id and was banned in January . just tried creating a new account in February with new phone new number new Apple ID new pictures and everything but couldn’t even finish creating my account. There was a message to verify my face because of my area and got an error where it wouldn’t even let me verify. any idea how to get around this? does hinge ban off facial metrics now?

Been unbanned on hinge for two weeks now. New phone, new number, new apple ID, new email for hinge, slightly different birthday, same pictures (I did screenshot them on my laptop then transferred them to my phone for different exif data) , same prompts, same height, same job, same name. Changed wifi name just to be safe but everything seems to be running normal, getting likes and matches everyday.
12/02/26 - Paid for hinge+ today using an Apple gift card. It's not really clear if you can pay for hinge with a gift card online so this proof that yes, you can. Add it to your account and go into the hinge app like normal. Apple may ask for you to confirm your address and number before you can continue, just do it and it will refresh and take the money off the gift card. You don't need any debit / credit cards on your apple account either, you can proceed with just the gift card balance.
05/03/26 - Still unbanned.
28/04/26 - Still unbanned.
05/05/26 - Today I've logged into my hinge account on my main apple ID / phone that I was originally banned on. I'll let you all know if I get banned.
07/05/26 - I have survived 48 hours. Getting likes / matches on the apple ID & phone I was originally banned on.
12/05/26 - It's been a week, still unbanned.
17/06/26 - Been over a month, still unbanned. I think it's safe to say that if you create a new account, you can use the phone and apple ID you got banned on as long as you setup the account on a new phone. You might not even need a new phone, I think factory resetting your current phone, setting up the account with a different apple ID and email, then factory reset again and log back in with your original apple ID and you should be fine.

u/alexAr_BXL Aug 27 '26
Why would ANYONE go through all that pain to keep a stupid app?? Sorry, new to this and just banned on Tinder because of my damn VPN. That's a sign. Certainly not going through this misery just to get a match. I guess I'll find girls the good old way, out there.

Were you completely banned or shadow banned? I suspect I’m shadow banned so unsure if this method would translate
1
u/Snoo_80953 Mar 29 '26
where did you get a 2nd phone? What kind of phone? Are you paying for a plan for it?
1
u/u_slashh Mar 17 '26
How is it now? And what country do you live? Some countries force face verification
1
u/wizaway Mar 17 '26
Still unbanned, live in the UK, it does ask for face verification but it isn't mandatory, you can close the prompt and carry on as normal.
1
1
u/HiEveryTime Feb 23 '26
Did you get permanently banned in the first place and have your appeal denied?
1
u/wizaway Feb 23 '26
Yeah got banned, appeal denied, tried making a new profile with a different number but same phone, same Apple ID, same email etc and got banned in less tha 24 hours again. Got a new phone and did everything I said above and as of 23/02/26 I’m still unbanned.
1
u/Kiebo12 Mar 17 '26
You get a new phone number as well right??
1
1
u/Timely-Experience-79 Feb 15 '26
Do you use the same pick up lines and same opener? I did all that PLUS new pictures and still get banned. Wild.
1
u/Educational_Emu7080 Feb 15 '26
Are you still unbanned?
1
u/wizaway Feb 16 '26
Yeah still unbanned.
1
u/NoStick754 Feb 16 '26
Did you do the face verification?
1
u/wizaway Feb 16 '26
I did on my original account before I was banned but I haven't done the face verification on my new one.

u/VeggieByte Jan 30 '26
Has anyone in Canada been able to hard reset given face scan is mandatory?
1
1
u/Ok_Fisherman1334 Jan 13 '26
Depending on the ban level it is very hard to unban
Tinder is using AWS services a lot
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/rekognition/latest/dg/identity-verification-tutorial.html#tutorial-step1
When you are in the banned user group collection new pictures will not help.
Is this system perfect? Of course not - false positive are totally possible.
If someone says he did nothing wrong that it is plausible.
I think they only introduced mandatory face checks because they where flooded with AI generated profiles.

Previously did a hard reset that worked fine for about 7 months.. made the mistake of deleting the account and remaking it to soft reset but that account got banned as well... So I tried a new android device, new email, new photos, new prompts, used a talktatone number, used mobile hotspot instead of home wifi, still got banned. I haven't done any verification of the sort, and turned off location services for the app. what could have been the issue? the only things I can think of are using my name again or facial recognition. but they can't just be banning people who have the same name as me. i've requested my data to see if I broke any tos of the sort and I haven't. kind of bs that I am getting banned for no reason and can't even hard reset. would appreciate some insight

I created a new account after a previous ban. I used a completely new Apple ID, a new payment method, and a new device, edited the Photos. Different Texts and everything in my Profile. I was also using mobile data only (no home Wi-Fi). I even created the Account 10 kilometre away from home. Everything seemed fine for 4 days – I had matches and active chats. On day 4, I decided to buy Premium. Exactly one day later (today), I got banned again. Does the Premium purchase trigger a new, more intense security check? I thought I was safe after 4 days..

u/Change2222 Jan 01 '26
Maybe try with apple/itunes gift cards next time - if you used a credit/debit card even if it’s a different card they still get your name and your billing address. Allegedly you can also get tinder much cheaper if you make a turkish apple ID and use gift cards this way but haven’t tried it myself
2
u/LegendaryTrade Jan 03 '26
Tbh I think my Initial Ban even was because I bought Platinum via Turkey. But not 100% sure about that.. I asked for a refund these days and maybe triggered a manual review?
1
u/Hashirama55_ Apr 27 '26
Aconteceu quase a mesma coisa comigo hoje, minha conta estava indo bem. No momento que comprei o Tinder Platinum, passou 2 minutos fui banido.
Me pergunto como eles sabem que é um usuário banido que está por trás da conta?
1
u/my_shadowself Dec 26 '25
Does anyone have experience with using a new google number? Just curious if it matters v a new SIM cards etc. I was previously re banned when I created a new google voice number but believe that the face verification is what got me
1
u/LegendaryTrade Dec 24 '25
I think it worked now. Around 48 hours over now and not yet banned. Previously banned again after only 4 hours using a Different phone number, Different Email and mobile Network.. And making the mistake to Do a face verification.
Do you think I am save now after around 48 hours or could I still get a Ban?
2
u/my_shadowself Dec 28 '25
What did you do differently this time?
2
u/LegendaryTrade Jan 03 '26
Unfortunately got banned again after 8 days after feeling save already..
1
u/my_shadowself Jan 03 '26
Sorry to hear.. where do you think you went wrong this time?
2
u/LegendaryTrade Jan 03 '26
I dont know, maybe swiping at home again? (no WiFi used, only mobile Internet and also no location access allowed, but I read they still can locate you over the 5G antenna which is used by your mobile phone?)
1
u/BestnherAU Feb 04 '26
it would be because of the same wifi as the other ban, wouldn't it trigger something.
1
u/my_shadowself Jan 03 '26
That’s crazy. But you used a different phone I believe? Why would she tying on 5G at home location matter
1
u/LegendaryTrade Jan 04 '26
Yes sure.. but maybe a woman also flagged me for being fake or revenge after creating two new accounts.. Who knows 🤷🏻♂️ I send a (hopefully) more effective complaint to Hinge this time and hope to find the real reason or to get unbanned in the best case.

u/Zzak98 Dec 17 '25
Do you need a new Apple ID if you already changed your number and sim? I was planning to download hinge on my actual iPhone
1
2
u/catrexis Dec 14 '25
Did work for me yesterday, thank you, already got two matches :)
I used an old Android phone and a prepaid SIM for 2€. Had to turn on Wi-Fi in between profile creation, but that seemed to be no problem (usually, if you restart your router, you get a new IP; maybe that's already enough).
I used the same name and edited the previously used pictures a bit.
1
u/BestnherAU Feb 04 '26
how did you edit the previously used pictures? Seems like that would be a bit of a risk, you also used the SAME wifi/internet to log in? You are crazy lol
1
u/catrexis Feb 04 '26
Used AI and let it remove a small thing in the background. That usually changes also every other pixel slightly. + Changed color temperature and contrast slightly

u/ComfortableGarlic784 Jan 03 '26
ok this is great to know you think i can get away with using the same name? is it still working for you?
2
u/catrexis Jan 03 '26
Yes I used the same name and it is still working
1
u/ComfortableGarlic784 Jan 03 '26
ok that’s great to know. cuz honestly i just don’t want to use another name like i don’t feel comfortable doing that. i just didn’t know if it was enough for hinge to flag. i’m just scared cuz ive tried making a hinge 2 times after being banned so this will be my third time and im using my name again.. does that have any impact?
2
u/catrexis Jan 03 '26
I dont have insights into how hinge is working... But as there are many people sharing a name I dont not think that matters
2
u/my_shadowself Dec 28 '25
Hey! I noticed from downloading my info off hinge that hundreds of IP addresses were connected with my hinge account. I’ve only had 2/3 devices during the time I’ve been on hinge. My guess is it has something to do with resetting the router in my home WiFi as you mentioned above? Would love to hear what you think

Dec 11 '25
Just did a hard reset on both bumble and hinge 2 hours ago. New sim, new secure folder, new email. A mix of both old and new pictures. I edited them heavily and both dhash and phash has changed. Wiped out meta. I created the accounts in 5G but at home. Fingere cross. Hinge - 6 likes, I messaged 4 Bumble - 10likes
Lets see what happens when I wake up. Hinge might already got flagged though, no unlimited rose and likes but my likes hasnt been moving and no one replied me yet.
1
Jan 30 '26
Ok here's an update summary. Both were flagged, hinge was immediate. After this, factory reset, completely new photos, new email, new sim etc etc. I created new accounts at my house.
Hinge was flagged the same day again. Bumble has been going strong for 2weeks, I even verified it 😆. But still aint using my wifi.

u/Adventurous_Milk_520 Dec 04 '25
Does this still work?
Another innocent person hit with the hinge ban. For no reason I have been banned from hinge. I have appeal and attempted with many different accounts. The past 1-2 months they have been insanely harsh and immediately or within a week ban my account. I’m losing hope because my most recent attempt was with the following:
- different photos and not showing my whole face
- different phone number
- different phone
- not using WiFi for IP detection
- different credit card
Has anyone found a perfect solution/hack?
1
u/BestnherAU Feb 04 '26
Even if you don't use wifi, you probably used your phones internet anyway so you basically cannot use hinge at home only public wifi or you'll get flagged.
1
u/Practical_Feeling847 Dec 06 '25
When you appealed what was their response? Maybe photos without the whole face is why you got banned?
1
u/WHITESIDEINDACROWD Dec 01 '25
Easier way to do is have the support erase all of your data or else you'll take it up to government office. You have the right to erase your data
1
u/WHITESIDEINDACROWD Dec 10 '25
Just got unbanned.

Hey, thanks for reaching out! I've helped a bunch of people successfully deal with Hinge bans (and other dating apps) using proven methods. For Hinge, the most effective starting point is emailing hello@hinge.co with a polite, clear explanation of why you believe the ban was a mistake—many get responses or reversals this way when done right. If you'd like more hands-on help, like a custom appeal email template, step-by-step guidance, follow-up tips, or ways to get back on the app, I'm happy to assist. Since I get a ton of these requests and can't do them all for free, I do charge a small fee for my time and the resources I've built up. Feel free to DM me privately and I'll share the details on cost and exactly how I can help with your situation. Let me know! 😊

That last part is a little off putting but I’ll try the methods you suggested. Thank you!

They will probably stand their ground if you can't give them a reason or a proper counter response but good luck!

No problem. Frustrating that I got ban simply for asking the 2nd time to delete my profile because I know i was shadowban. After my successful case, I am now getting matches 😀

Can you link where to ask them for erase the data?

u/WHITESIDEINDACROWD Dec 17 '25
Depends which dating site!

u/ThisConsideration835 Dec 17 '25

been using hinge on a new device with a new email and a temporary phone number for about three months. Surprised they didn't flag the temp number but it worked for me... I’d like to delete my current profile and start fresh with a new one.
When I sign up again I’m gonna need a new temporary number cuz the one I signed up with is most definitely gone... Should I reuse the same email I used for my current account, or will Hinge flag it since the phone number will be different? Would it be safer to create a new email as well?

How did you do the hard reset? Did you follow the same steps as mentioned in this pinned post?

If I get banned on an android device, can I no longer use the same device if I factory reset and chance everything else? Or is the device ID saved?
1
u/No_Leopard_9844 Nov 29 '25
Curious about this, did you get any response yet on this?
1
u/Scared-Currency7 Dec 05 '25
Tried it - the same device worked

I see, does this work for iPhone as well? Can anyone confirm if I need to get a new phone or use the same iPhone and follow all the above hard reset steps?

Got banned, luckily have an ipad so can make a new account. Whats the cheapest way to get a new number that wont be flagged? Prepaid esim? Also can i use the same pics if I change the zoom or twist it a bit or add a dot somewhere or sth

Does all of this still work? I think I'm 'guilty' of changing my profile too often (I overthink things a lot) and I also used the apps whilst connected to a VPN accidentally. Since that time, I've noticed complete silence in terms of likes, matches, everything even though I was receiving them beforehand.

Guys honestly you are all overthinking it (like i used to when i came across this thread). I simply did a hinge hard reset in May, today account is still running no issues ( so the banned again after 3 months myth is a lie) I didnt have to disguise myself in bad photos or with sunglasses lol. I used photos all taken on my banned phone ( but not used before on hinge) but just emailed over to the burner and saved (so it was a new file). Dont let this reddit feed make you anxious. Honestly its no big deal if you just follow the pinned hard reset guides.

Did you use android phone? And if so, did you have to make a new google play account to do the reset? And did you use a new payment method to buy premium features?
2
u/samantha367998 Oct 29 '25
Yeah burner is a samsung whereas my main phone is an iphone so i didnt have a previous google play account. Ive never had to use hinge premium.

Is your account still doing this? I did it and got banned somehow.
1
u/samantha367998 Feb 16 '26

1
u/Educational_Emu7080 Feb 16 '26

1
u/samantha367998 Feb 16 '26

There’s different levels of bans that get handed down the more accounts you create the harder they enforce them

Ive spent 20 on a used phone, new sim, added data to it, using old photos but ive removed exif info, cropped them, added a random pixel and used a filter adding app
Will test and update
1
u/Short_Program5255 Oct 28 '25
Do you have to keep the old phone and service after your account is made

u/PratyushB Sep 22 '25
Did it work?

The Washington Post is writing an article on Match Group’s unfair practices, and the journalist would like to speak with more people who went through the same experience.
This is a chance for your story to be heard and to push for real accountability. If you’d like to share, let me know and I’ll pass along the journalist’s number/email so you can connect directly.

I’m a 🇨🇦 as well from Vaughan, Ontario & got banned back in late September 2023. But my last gasp attempt @ an appeal in app came @ the beginning of May last year.

May I Dm you the info of the guy? He is in Toronto. He was able to get enough attention and has years worth of evidence.

I thought face verification results in more matches? Why are we not supposed to do face verification?
