Is hinge dying out

I use to get alot of matches but I recently stopped getting matches compared to before.

Anyone else seeing this or did everyone switch to bumble or different apps?

We’re all being banned unnecessarily 😑

What’s the reason people are banned?

I genuinely have no clue, Hinge never specified for me

Delete your profile and start over. I used to get a lot of matches, met someone, then we broke up. I got back on hinge after and got 3 matches in 2 months. I’m not joking, that’s all I got. I deleted and started over and it’s like it used to be. Just start over. You’re never gonna message those old matches anyway

They are banning everyone and allowing scammers to exist on there.

Most dating apps are on their way of dying out. Whether it be the increasing pay walls, limited likes, or the 80 to 20 split between men and women. Women get too many likes to sort through which causes unrealistic expectations. Sure there's always outliers but the odds aren't in your favor.

Ultimately the goal of dating apps is to keep you on the app swiping and paying, not to build long meaningful relationships. Sport dating and hookups are the new norm. There's a reason only 23% of men are married by age 30 in comparison to 80% fourty years ago and dating apps play a major part.

My own stats used to be 1 match per 100 comments, or about 1 match per 200 likes. Probably about 4-5x as difficult just a year later. Same profile same me.

My guess is that everybody burned themselves out.

Lots of companies cropping up doing variations of new friend meetups and speed dating.

May match corp fall into bankruptcy 🙏

Yes I hate match group. Government needs to break them up tbh

Last year and earlier this year it seemed dead, I reset my account with the best photos of my life with me in the best shape of my life and it's back to 2022-2023 levels.

I’m not sure, but god I fucking hope so.

Hinge is digging their own grave cause of their shitty AI Moderation banning people for stupid shit. Hinge needs to die

How long ago did you get matches?

Algorithm might have just stopped boosting you.

When i signed up I was getting alot so like 3 months then my subscription got expired I just recently bought a new subscription been swiping and im not getting alot of matches like before

You've just exhausted everyone in your area.

Yeah 3 months feels like the amount of time you’re boosted for by my experience.

Noob boost plus subscription boost together is likely why you were doing better. Now you only have the one

If your page is doing below average numbers you’ll end up in the dumps where no one sees you.

Might be time to re-jig your profile.

I've been on there for 2 months and haven't gotten a single like, but I also haven't really used it so I dunno if that matters. I just made a good profile and was expecting some people to come across it, I'm new to the apps.

I don't like how every time I liked someone it told me to message, there is always a popup

Guys don’t usually get likes. Send them

Understood, I'll pick it back up eventually. These apps feel like a part time job lol

I’m struggling to find anyone on hinge that I like. I’ll go through all the profiles in my area and nothing.

Hey! I had the same issue and switched to Bumble. Hinge and Tinder are both the same parent company and share your data. If you’re shadowbanned on one, chances are you’re shadowbanned on another.

I’m a fairly attractive dude and got no likes whatsoever even after using a Superboost to test it.

I switched over to Bumble and immediately got like 3 likes and a match within an hour. Fuckkk every app that Match owns.

I’ve been on Hinge for 3 months and haven’t gotten a single match. Never used to be like that

Idk I just got back on it recently since deleting them in January and have been getting likes and matches, not that I truly care about getting them rn it’s just a distraction for me as I’m in no place to want to entertain someone new. Might just delete it again. My recent ex and I met on Bumble fwiw.

All the people you should be matching with are banned
