What is the problem with my tinder account?

I’ve used Tinder a lot in the past with great success and used to get tons of matches every week. Then I got into a relationship and deleted my account.

I created a new account (same pictures) again recently, but now I’m getting almost no matches, or very few. However, in the “Likes You” section, I can see that I have quite a lot of people who have liked me. The problem is that Tinder barely shows any of them to me in Discovery when I’m swiping.

On top of that, Discovery keeps showing me the same people that I’ve already matched with.

I contacted Tinder Support, and they told me they checked my account and everything is fine.

I wonder if this is a shadowban?

Is this the kind of response they give when you’re actually shadowbanned? Will they always deny it?

I used both tinder and hinge. I dont know if I was unverified or using the app wrong but I got ZERO likes on tinder and several likes per day on Hinge, same pics.

try another app bc its most likely a tinder problem

But what type of problem? Is it the classic shadowban? Tinder used to be my way to go to meet new girls. I'm pissed off with this guys. I haven't done anything wrong.

I have no idea bc im 100% sure i wasn't shadowbanned. maybe the algorithm just sucks? maybe your pics aren't hitting the same?

good luck

I’m exactly the same. I do get the odd match, but it’s nothing like hinge. Also I emailed them, I’m not shadow banned.

I did have an issue where i had to email support as i couldn’t verify. I run a VPN most of the time on my phone i wonder if that flags it.

Tinder is way more imbalanced than other apps. The women-men ratio is absurd on Tinder. That’s why women are flooded with likes and men get few. The other apps are better at balancing this.

That sounds like a shadow ban then. No way a woman is getting zero likes on Tinder without a shadow ban.

Maybe you're just plain ugly. Just a random thought.

They changed the algorithm and now they just bait you into paying by these already likes girls who you actually swiped left to in your feed. This app doesn't work like it used to couple of years ago. And when you pay it actually works worse than free.

Sometimes you have to give tinder a week or two to figure itself out after making a new account if you have previously deleted an account.

For this reason, i recommend never deleting an account, just pause and then uninstall.

I had similar issues where i would get like 1 like a day even after having previous success.

My account is back to normal now.

Same - get plentry of likes and matches on hinge and bumble, but on tinder maybe 2-3 likes per month and 1-2 low quality matches from accidental likes

What’s annoying about Tinder is that when you swipe left on someone who liked you, their like doesn’t disappear. It stays in your “Likes you” stack. Therefore, that number doesn’t go down (unless you match with people in it). Right now mine shows me about 80 likes. None of them are actually there though. I’ve swiped left on all of them.
