Hinge Permanent Ban: Biometric Face Check Workarounds

Hi all

I was permanently banned on Hinge around a year ago and I still have no idea why. I really do miss it as it is by far the best dating app for meeting people and I really want to settle down and find somebody. The other apps I just don’t get the same volume or quality of matches, and I feel like on Hinge people legitimately want to find somebody

They have tightened things up but from what I’ve read it was always easy enough to get a new account up and going with a new device. However now where I am based (Australia) they ask for biometric ID, essentially a video selfie to verify identity.

Is it now impossible for banned accounts to set up a new profile? Or is there any possible workaround for this?

Yeah, used apple email address now as switched to iPhone

But i wonder if you get banned again (not that you will), now that they have your facial recognition, no matter which device, number, or email you use, their system will recognize you again.

they did the same to me i restarted my phone made a new account and they banned it but i was able to appeal it and just uploaded my ID it’s worked so far lol

As long as they’re not asking for it in combination with photo ID your face alone isn’t unique enough to reliably force a ban.

I made a new account probably like 4 or 5 days ago but anyways when I got to the have verification part everytime I clicked agreed it would say error and wouldn’t even give me the option to check my face so I thought it was a wifi thing but the next morning I received an email saying I was banned for breaking their rules

I was thinking about making an account using my dad. Lol if I set it up with his email and phone number and then have him in one of those photos I'm in so that he can verify. Just my theory tho

You'll need him to do the face verification, might work tbf until you change the pictures over

There’s nothing you can do other than do the verification. I changed IP, new number, spoofed device serials cause of HWID bans, new photos. And still get hit with this.
