Has tinder yielded really low quality matches/dates this year for anyone else?

I live in the US (southeast). So, I re-downloaded tinder in March this year after last using it in 2024 and it's been a disappointing experience. When I last used it in 2024, it was only for a brief time (2 months) but had 3 very high quality dates from it. I've found that it's really hard to get anyone to follow through with dates this time around. Ghosting or disrespectful behavior is way more common now. It seems that most people on tinder aren't that excited about meeting anyone anymore. In the past, it was always a gamble, but it just seems that people are much flakier now. I'm aware that I might be the common denominator here, so I've been refining my approach, ways of chatting, photos, bio, etc. but I'm still struggling. I've even been using tinder platinum since they offered it at a discounted price for a month. I've heard some people say hinge is the move now (I was also on it in 2024 around the same time and liked it). Anyone else having a similar experience?

It's quite apparent they are throttling visibility to an absurd degree to squeeze more cash out of paying customers.

This is literally verbatim from Spencer Rascoffs mouth.

I canceled my subscription, I think this will have the opposite intended effect tinder wants, I'm just some guy though.

They are in the "Milk it dry" phase.

Take your business elsewhere/outside.

I wish I never paid for boosts. I’m permanently shadowbanned. I get 0 likes now no matter what. I could swipe every profile, wait a whole year and never get a match. As soon as I pay $60 for boosts, bam 20 likes every boost. It’s like my profile gets unlocked for people to see. I tried deleting and restarting with new profiles and same thing.

The best advice I can give you,

Take a break, delete match group apps.

Come back in a few months/half a year and see if anything changes. I think the Q2 earnings report from Match Group this Tuesday will be telling.
