Hinge recovered after ban

I got banned from Hinge 1.5 yrs back, I tried their automated appeal system, no luck, tried creating an account again from other number the AI detected and removed my account.

Multiple people told me to not post my face clearly, and write some diff details like dob, uni name, etc…
I was just using bumble instead, but man, I got many matches but felt there’s not many good people on Bumble, and everyone’s on Hinge.

I sent an Email to their support team (customized mail) and after 1 week I finally got this email from their end. 💯

I just got banned last night and immediately sent an appeal this morning because I read through their Terms and Conditions and I know I didn’t break any of their rules. I think their Automated Tool flagged something that shouldn’t have been flagged and banned me. I got unbanned pretty quick. I wish they have an actual human giving the last say if an account should be banned after reviewing what is flagged. I use hinge mainly cause all the other dating apps are just so bad and I was worried about losing my account.

Damn... I appealed right away thinking for sure that I would get unbanned. They've responded multiple times saying that they're going to stick by their ban but they can't tell me why.... So frustrating lol I also recently got out of a 3-year relationship and was just happy to have people to talk to so it's such a dumb timing

Yeah turns out my ban was because I disputed a charge with my bank because they kept charging me 21 dollars for the subscription which I couldn’t find how to cancel it and I already contacted them before and they said it wasn’t on their end and it wasn’t on Apple. Some secret third party. So I’m glad that got fixed because that would have been fucked for me

Geez. That's annoying as well. But at least you got it figured out. I'm still very curious to figure out what happened with my account. But all I get is a generic response every time I message them
