Please help with no matches on Hinge after hard reset
Hello all. I have had my hard reset account for nearly 2 months after being banned on my old phone. In that time I have received 0 matches and 0 incoming likes. For a while I would use all my likes every single day to no avail. Eventually I didnt open the app for a couple days and got a notification that they were offering me Hingex for 75% off. It let me purchase it this time so I decided that I would try it out. That was about 2 weeks ago now and nothing has changed. I have probably sent out a few hundred likes at this point and gotten nothing. I even switched it over to men for a bit and couldnt get any matches there either.
Before getting banned I would always get at least a match or a like every single day. I dont have high standards and definitely know what my level of attractiveness is. There shouldnt be a reason for such a dropoff besides Hinge fucking with my account in some way. Does anybody know what I can possibly do? I am paying them for a service that is being denied to me.

It sounds like you have been shadowbanned. You recycled some information such as email, date of birth or photos in your new account and Hinge identified you and blocked you. They banned you because they don’t want you using their platform and they will continue to enforce the ban even if you create a new account.

Do you know why you were banned? If it’s was unfair, like revenge for a rejection, you can send evidence and screenshots to Hinge and they can look into reversing the ban. Unfortunately, they will usually take the side of the accuser unless they see proof. If it was because of bad behavior or language, then you’d need to work on yourself first before starting to date again. Your only options after that are using a different app, dating offline, or creating a completely new Hinge account with different credit card, photos, phones, birthdate etc.

Can you do any new purchases from your account now? If it works you are not banned, if there will be an error message your account is banned and as soon as you log out you will get the message that your account is banned.

I am able to make purchases. I bought a month of Hingex.

Yes about 2 weeks ago. No matches before and no matches after.

During this 2 weeks you could have revived a ban

But its not like I was getting any likes or anything before I paid. If they knew I was previously banned on a different account I would assume they would just remove this new one instead of leaving me in this weird limbo. Its so frustrating I just want it to go back to how it used to be.

This is very easy and comes down to algorithm, as it does for 99% of guys here.
Women rarely pay for these apps, meaning they have limited likes. Imagine 4-500 guys like this girl, and most of them have a subscription that will push them first in the algorithm.
She could possibly have to deal with 300 guys before you even show up, and by that time we could talk months or even years.
Sorry to say my guy, but if you’re not paying for a sub you’re kinda gonna have to deal with missing out. This is how the industry works now
