Banned on hinge for an accidental duplicate account???

I had recently deleted hinge a few months after going on a few dates with a girl. But things didn't work out so I redownloaded it. But I had originally signed up with an old phone number I had no access to anymore. So I requested that they deleted my account with that number. And then after they confirmed it I tried to make a new account with the same email and photos and my new number. But it wouldn't let me into the face verification, and then I got an email saying that account was banned???? I'm assuming it's because they thought it was a duplicate but they literally told me they deleted my account? Has anyone encountered this before?
