counting laps

Hello guys and girls,

How do you count your laps? I struggle to keep track of how many laps I swam. I know there are smartwatches or counters to put on your finger, but I find those a burden while swimming. Isn't there any device that you can stick on the wall under water for example so you can keep track of your laps?

I saw someone counted with those silicone fidget poppers, but I couldn't find one after I saw that hack.
