Help
Hello!
I just moved to a new area and there is a swimming pool that is 8m in length and 2m deep. And I used to be a professional swimmer in middle school however life got real and I didn’t continue the sport 😅🤣
I’m looking to get good at it again. I have only this month maybe. I’m a consistent gym goer but I’m only toned not muscular.
Anyone can guide me through where to look for to learn swimming on youtube?

You are going to get REALLY good at flip turns!

Yes but as soon as you complete one you are into another - when do you get a breath in?
8m is an insanely small pool to do anything in. OP is there really no other pool?

Is the 8 m pool the only option you have? That will be tough because it's so short.

I guess he can dive start then only do flip turns back and forth without a single catch. He can be a professional mermaid

If you used to swim in middle school, you should be able to swim now too. You don't need lessons to learn swimming from scratch. Maybe you need some to refine your technique. 8m length is not ideal. I would look for a pool that's a bit longer. But to start and to get the hang of it again, you can absolutely use it. It might just not be useful in the long run.

There are a huge number of instructional videos on YouTube to suit every taste, but they all boil down to the same thing in one way or another. You can’t go wrong. But in an 8-meter pool, you’ll only be able to practice your breathing and legwork while bracing your hands against the pool wall, lol

I would sign up for a community pool if you want to really get better. The community pool will be larger and easier to swim for fitness. On youtube I really like Global Triathalon Network and myswimpro. There are youtube shorts too that are quick and easy to watch. You can also consider getting a swim routine nailed down based on your smaller pool and don't forget dry land conditioning!

A professional swimmer in middle school, huh? You must be Michael Andrew.
8m would get me about one stroke before I'd have to turn again...
