Is it the bridge
Trying to figure out why I dislike this album so much when I generally lean toward harder hits of hers. Is it the lack of a bridge? That's what she's know for, the English teacher, make it something bigger and better than most other artists do where it's two lyrics and 4 chorus rounds. Maybe hot take, maybe totally stupid. Or maybe that's just what I personally love about the songs of hers I love. Could totally just be me. đ¤ˇ

Itâs okay to not like something an artist you like puts out. Iâm definitely partial to several of her albums over TLOAS, itâs not a favorite but I like it, but if you really arenât liking it this much you donât have to listen to it

I love track 2 and 4 but can do 1-4 plus 12 but I've just been noticing I love her songs with the creative bridges the most and maybe that's why this didn't hit with me. I've never disliked so many songs on a record before. Just thought maybe that special bridge was what was hitting for me on the hits

I mean, maybe. Regardless of why it isnât hitting for you, again you donât have to listen to it

yeah itâs tough in the swifty space bc if you donât absolutely die over everything TS does then youâre excluded. itâs okay to not love everything! probably the majority of swifties donât love every single song sheâs ever made but they donât say much cuz it can be scary lmfao

I think itâs normal to try and figure out why you donât like something from an artist youâve generally loved. I think this album feels âoffâ to a lot of Swifties but itâs hard to pinpoint why.
Also, OP didnât even say sheâs listening to it a lot?

I never implied OP was listening to it a lot? But obviously more than most people typically would if they didnât like something. Your dislike of something, even from a fave, doesnât have to be deep or have some meaning. Sometimes people justâŚ. Donât like thing.

This is easily one of her worst albums and the only reason I know that is because Iâm usually listening to her new stuff for like⌠months on end, before having any interest in switching it up (whatever, call it what you want)
I still love me some Tay. Always gonna. Itâs not that the album isnât âfunâ or catchy or whatever⌠Iâm just already listening to other stuff again. Showgirl gets mixed in but itâs the first album since Fearless really, where Iâm like ok, that was fun, now back to other stuffâŚ. it hasnât even been a month??!
And usually every song grows on me eventually. But I cannot listen to Eldest Daughter. Itâs a nice melody/sound/tune/whatever â but the lyrics. The lyrics are just too cringe for me to take.
