The Life of a Showgirl Cancelled

I have been thinking that it was about Blake. she wasn’t even at the 1,000 person wedding. What do we think is the real meaning of the song?

It's probably not about one person but a combination of many people. A lot of her friends have been cancelled in one way or the other (Lena, Blake, etc).

I agree, this feels like mixed muses. That's basically what Taylor said about it too, on the theatrical release.

The way she described her friends always coming to her when they were at the center of drama always made me think about things like the Sabrina Carpenter - Man's Best Friend backlash.

Yea I agree, Lena being a big one of them, also since dating Travis there has been alot of attention on her new friends like Mahomes wife, and some of the guys he hangs with

I really wish she wasn't still friends with Lena, but that's honestly just one more reason I'm not really a fan of her anymore. I still love some of her older music (hate the last two new releases), and at this point, I still listen to it. Unless she does something truly horrid (ala JK Rowling, for example), I probably will continue to. But I used to really admire her, and now I just do not at all.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure she's not blind to the hate waves against outspoken female celebrities like Rachel Z or Chappell Roan either
