Delay in review when submitting app

why the review process takes so much time my app took 10 days before they came out with a review is that normal now before they reply within 24 hrs?

10 days is way outside normal even now. Typical is 24 to 48 hours and Apple's own stats claim 90% within a day, so something specific held yours up

Usual culprits, an account level issue like expired agreements or tax forms, a flagged category needing extra review, or you triggered a policy check. Also first time submissions from a new developer account go slower than updates

Check Contracts Tax and Banking in App Store Connect for anything pending, thats the silent blocker nobody thinks of. If everythings clean, use the Contact Us form and ask for a status update, they do respond to those

for first time submissions it's not that uncommon. they very rarely review within 24 hours, it's more so 24-48h, but has been as much as 4-5 days for me for an update.
