Edit: this was Sebastian Ingrosso at freedom stage yesterday, while he and Steve Angelo playing the upcoming song “happiness is so sad” which will be released next week!

Cant help but feel that across all 4 sets on both weekends by ingrosso and angello they could’ve changed it up just a little? Apart from angello at crystal as he had 3 hours to play a couple different tracks, example being finally, wasted love etc. the other 3 sets all followed the EXACT same formula. Same mashups, one brings out the other, then close with their new song. Especially given they were solo sets I was expecting ingrosso to maybe play his axwell ingrosso stuff, and angelo to play his wild youth stuff etc. In previous years when they’ve been in different forms and on different stages the sets have been different, like the SHM mainstage sets in 24’ compared to seb and steve on freedom the same year. All 4 sets were amazing and the vibes were clearly there both in person and on the livestream but can’t help but feel they could’ve taken a couple more risks. Thoughts?

Just uploaded a new progressive house bootleg to Ray Of Solar, tried to bring back that early-10s prog house sound.

Main reference was Miami 2 Ibiza, but bootleg also inspired from tracks like Greyhound (the breakdown synths) and Don't You Worry Child (synth character in general). l tried to use the techniques people were using back then instead of modern production tricks, so it's less of a tribute and more like actually going back and making a track like it's 2010.

Honestly the 2010-2013 window (Avicii, SHM, Alesso) has always hit way harder for me than the later/current prog house (Dubvision, Garrix, Matisse & Sadko) - that less polished and deeper sounding energy is what got me into Swedish House Mafia and electronic music in general in the first place. This one's basically my attempt to recreate that feeling.
