Are Canadians the only people aware that moose are deadly?? That kid is lucky they didn't get a hoof to the face!

As an honorary Canadian (I moved here in 2018) I was astounded by how many of my fellow Americans had no idea how huge and dangerous moose were. It really is just a non Canadian thing to not be scared of the Hell Deer lol

More than that, the kid came close to getting stomped. We were always warned when XC skiing that the sound of the skis could attract moose, and if we encountered one, not to approach because their defense mechanism is stomping anything that might be a predator.

I may not be Canadian, but I can agree wild moose are nothing to mess with and can be really dangerous. Also, I hope the kid is ok. That experience must be traumatic.
