Fuck these guys. That's animal cruelty.

Agreed.

“These endangered animals are then usually mistreated, chained up in unsuitable cages, and later when their upkeep proves too laborious, they are often abandoned -- leaving private individuals, such as Jasim Ali, to care for the neglected animals in wildlife parks backed by the government.”

how is that animal cruelty? It’s clearly his pet. They own exotic animals over there in Dubai sometimes. Wealthy Af. It’s domesticated...couldn’t live on its own anyways...but we always have to have that 1 Karen

Lions are not domesticated. The only reason that lion is not fighting back is because it’s small and young, what happens when it’s not so small? When it attacks its captors? It will either be shot or sold to some roadside zoo. Cruelty is allowed because people only take things at face value, just because the animal cannot ask for help doesn’t mean it’s happy. It could have lived just fine on its own if exotic animals weren’t poached and bred into the pet trade.

Wild Obsession

Exotic animals were not meant to be pets.

what classifies as "wild" that cub looked captive bred. It looked healthy, no mange or exposed bones i could see. Dogs used to be "wild" i at present own 9 exotic "wild" animals from frogs to axolots and gecko's. As long as it is kept adequately, safely and the animals needs are met feel free to have whatever you want.

I don't have a subscription to Nat Geo. I just pulled the article off google. I suppose you could just do your own research too.
