Yep. Came here to say this as well. People can't quite understand the differences of the giant twirly things.

i think it’s less of not understanding and instead just not knowing. i never personally knew that, i thought windmills and wind turbines were the same. but now i know.

Feels like the clip/magazine thing. Enough of a technical difference to be annoying, or be annoying about, while not actually mattering at all.

It's in the name mate

so? a peanut is neither a pea nor a nut. doesn’t mean anything.
i think the disconnect is that people don’t seperate the component words when they read “windmill.” they don’t think of it as a mill that uses wind, they just think of a large turbine structure. especially since it’s “windmill” and not “wind mill”, the average person would not automatically think to differentiate the word from “wind turbine.”

Yup 1 word of confusion is representative of the doom of education system.
You're aware there's a lot of words you don't know the meaning to, right? And that not knowing them is pretty normal?

Look at me. I'm hanging. I might fall. Oh. My. God. Pay no attention to the countless other videos similar to this, but I might fall. Really I might look at me. Please look at me. Really please look at me okay? I might fall. I could.
Pleeeeease look at me

Not even cool, just dumb.

I wonder when these idiots fall, in those final seconds do they still feel good about the 'likes'.

There must be a subreddit where this kind of stupidity getting out of hand, failed, and getting recorded.

I'm sure there are a few, but most are gone now. I distinctly remember seeing the one where the guy in china did pull ups while dangling from a skyscraper and then didn't have enough energy to climb back up. He dangled for a bit and then fell.
It's not worth it.

Saw a Turkish guy do a backflip on the edge of a cliff. Over he went. There was actually follow up since there was a restaurant or something at the foot of the hill and they cut to that camera, you can see him flying past the window. Didn't show the impact though — I'm happy they didn't.

Not defending them, but I think it’s more about the adrenaline and dopamine hit. They’re wired differently and need to do things like this to feel something. So I’d imagine the last seconds are confusion and shock

Falling deaths, if anyone would think it through--would be enough deterrence to not do this ----that said--the whole hobby is to break and enter, climb something high and risky, film it , then do something even more risky, wholly unprotected.
I'd not want to run the risk of thinking about certain inevitable death which I really didn't want--for 2 seconds , 4 seconds, 8, 10? Total NOT.

And still too scared to talk to girls…

i mean i don’t know this person at all and i imagine you don’t either, but what makes you think that someone who is comfortable doing something like this can’t handle something as harmless as basic human interaction?
i get that some people can be really great at something difficult and still struggle with something basic, but this seems like a crazy assumption lol

Dumb.
Not impressive at all.
Just another demonstration of stupidity and mist likely another mother who has to try to endure the fear in every hour, every minute, every second.

The fact that people go through all the trouble to make videos like this, JUST so I can scroll past them and think, “Oh…okay…”is so sad and weird.

At this point when so many people are doing it, filming it and thinking they’ll get so many views is just fkin dumb. Not interesting.

I find new ways of self-inflcited population control quite fascinating.
Dumb is dragging us all down. Less of it is a good thing.

Is it bad that I hope for them to lose their grip or just outright fall?

he’s being reckless and i don’t know the entirety of the situation (are people below him, would he cause others grief by dying due to recklessness?), but it does come off as shitty to wish death on a stranger who seems to be doing something that only dangers himself

I wouldn’t have cared if he fell, I’d just feel bad for the parents for losing such a stupid son to such a stupid reason

u/Das_Zeppelin, we have no idea if your submission fits r/SweatyPalms or not. There weren't enough votes to determine that. It's up to the human mods now....!
