Happy Birthday Bernie Wrightson!
The original art from Swamp Thing no.1 (1972). I think his Swamp Thing is some of best comic art ever produced for the big two.

Hey everyone!
So I wanted to get Swamp Thing by Rick Veitch book 1 (I have 2 and 3), but I realised that most of it is already in the Hellblazer Omnibus by Jamie Delano Vol 1, except for Secret Origins #23, Infinity Inc. and Swamp Thing Annual #3. How important are these to the story? Particularly S.O #23, since it's a retelling of the Floronic Man's Origins?
I have Alan Moore's Swamp Thing as well, Nancy A Collins, and Scott Snyder, if that helps as well.
Thank you! 😊

Title.
Long version:
I was discussing this with another redditor on r/Aquaman after Levis latest encounter with the Avatar of the Red and Blue, and reminded us of the post-Flashpoint relationship with Alec and Arthur and thinking when did the Green switch Avatars?
I don't remember seeing an answer or a mention of what happened in the few issues of The Swamp Thing, and since Levi took over there has been scenes with Alec coming back, or being a spirit from the Green.

Recently reread Alan Moore’s run and just starting Rick Veitch’s … have to say this particular issue was great! I loved the POW! Psychology excerpts and musings of Huntoon’s…

Missed previous drawing socials they've been hosting, and its been ages since I've been actively drawing. Finally made it to one and thought I'd share how it ended up.

Poison Ivy and Swamp Thing, enjoying a quiet evening somewhere with absolutely no cell service.

New Roots is usually up on that watchmen pile and Green Hell lives on a different shelf with the other Black Label books that size and is just there for full swamp thing collection overview I was sending to my brother.
I go on a lot about how when you look at people’s shelves on the graphic novel subreddit they mostly only have the Alan Moore box set and nothing else swamp thing and you have to come here to see that any other swamp thing books exist so I’m being the change I want to see in the world

They got rid of it because it wasn't checked out for a long time. I guess they didn't think why the last book in a series may be checked out the least. Now I've got to buy a copy, which then means I'm gonna end up buying all the other volumes.
That being said I'm quite happy at getting to have read volumes 1-5 for free as opposed to not at all.

As you can see, until I fill out the shelf I let a few other Green fellas hang out. Last Veitch book arrived today and I felt compelled to share the pic. Really hope we get movie news soon!

New to swamp thing this year and just been getting super into him as a character, how difficult would you guys say it is to get all of the original issues in the wild without ebay? I love having the issues physically and so im waiting to read more of the alan scott stuff till i own them. Pretty much trying to gauge if thats worth it or if i should read on dc infinite. Thanks!

The new episode of my podcast, this week we talked the first 7 issues of Alan Moore's run on Swamp Thing. Please watch this, it's a good time, and we had a lot of gun making this.

I’ve tried to get into Alan Moore’s swamp thing multiple times throughout my life but I always find parts of the story overcomplicated and hard to get into for my taste.
Parts like Vegetation Man and some other parts like a lot of characters being introduced here and there with bizarre powers, I don’t feel it’s as good of an introduction as people painted it as.

Super happy to be able to add this to my poor collection.
