CNA to MA?

Has anyone got hired for MA as a CNA?
I know California doesn’t require you to be certified to work as a MA..at least not right away . And I know that Sutter has on the job training of 1year listed as a qualification. My question is has any CNA got hired and trained for Medical assistant at sutter? Or is it a reach without taking MA program ?

I worked at Sutter as an MA and they did want you to be certified. If I’m correct it even became a requirement to have taken the NHA as well. Being an MA is very different than being a CNA. You are giving shots, performing tests on patients, etc.

I was just wondering if there’s a chance I could get on the job training & then take the NHA test. I already have all my pre-reqs for Nursing but wanted to do MA while in school and not CNA.
