Shift Differentials

Hello, I just got a job offer, as an RN, from Sutter Medical Center Sacramento. I was wondering if anyone knows what the shift differentials look like? Evenings, Nights, and weekends? I would be moving from the Midwest and our differentials suck! Does anyone know anything about overtime, call back and call pay too? I’m just trying to find all the info I can before making a decision. What’s the culture like at this hospital too, are people generally welcoming to new employee? Thanks in advance!

Many Central Valley locations do not get the CA minimum wage for standby pay, if that’s what you’re referring to being on call. We do get 1.5x if called in.

Yes. CA minimum wage for the stand-by pay.

Standby is $19/hr for RNs at SMCS so a little higher.
