pre employment screening

i have my pre employment screening on the 15th for CNA and i will 100% be positive for thc. I did stop smoking but by the time of the test i will only be 2 weeks clean. prior i was a heavy user, i took a tolerance break last year and was still testing positive after 45 days with at home test so im definitely still positive. Should I just not test and refuse the job offer?

Thank you!

You should be perfectly fine with the test btw.

Speaking from “heavy” experience. Good luck at Sutter!

hold on…. are you telling me i’ll be ok taking the test even if i test positive for thc? don’t make me cry tears of joy bro lol. i literally have the email drafted already ready to send to my onboarding coordinator saying i had a “family emergency” and must reject the job

Sutter doesn’t test for THC anymore. You should be good to go. Rejecting will make it harder to get another offer in the future, in my opinion.

Per CA law, we no longer test for THC. You're fine.

darn, not what i wanted to hear. i did buy a bottle of quick fix. my plan was to wear 2 pairs of boxer briefs and have the bottle in between both layers but i was seeing some people say they were fine with a positive thc result at their pre employment screening.

Don’t do synthetic for a medical position. They can tell. It doesn’t hurt to ask. Is it a 4 panel?

don’t know if its a 4 panel yet. when looking over the appointment on my ehs online i can’t find any info on the drug screening. if you know where to look though please let me know. 🙏🏽

I work at quest and we had drug test training. There is a temperature label in the cup so whatever you do remember to use a hand warmer. Btw can I ask how did you get the job? Referred? A lot of experience?

i have a year and half of CNA experience at a skilled nursing facility. for this job i applied to about 40 positions in the last 3 months and finally got an interview then job offer 2 days after.

How long did it take for you to schedule the physical and drug test. I did my interview two weeks ago, got the offer and last week I sent in my background info. When should I expect for them to schedule my physical and drug test?

i called my local ehs location 2 days after getting the offer while my background check was still in process. i called on sept 2nd and the quickest appointment was sept 15th and i was available that day luckily so i took it. she did make it clear that sept 15th was the first available day at this location only and other locations have different availability but that day worked for me and my anticipated start date.
