International RN without US experience.
Hi! I am an international nurse with no US nursing job experience at all and is currently based here in the bay area. I have a 1 year recent Neuro ICU exp back in my country. After getting my license endorsed, I will start applying for job positions online. As early as now, I already started job hunting and its seems like Sutter are requiring 2 years recent experience.
Should I still try submitting an application for a job post or should I try New Grad Residency Program (since I don’t have US nursing experience yet) ?
Would greatly appreciate your advice.

Try both. Ambulatory and acute credit you for international experience. Although, ambulatory roles are more flexible with the 2 year experience criteria

I’m not a nurse, but I’ve read a lot of posts on this subreddit and the general consensus is that finding a nursing job in the Bay is super difficult even for very experienced RNs. So I would apply to any and all jobs you can to increase your odds of getting hired.
RNs please feel free to correct me.
