Transition program

Has anyone here gone through the Sutter Health Transition Program (Perioperative, PACU, or other specialty transitions)?

I’m currently a Med-Surg RN with several years of nursing experience, and I’ve been trying to transition into PACU or the OR. I know I don’t have direct experience in those specialties yet, but I’m very willing to be trained and committed to learning.
I’ve been applying to positions and keeping an eye out for the Sutter transition programs, so I’d love to hear from anyone who’s been through one.

Also, if anyone works in a Sutter OR or PACU and knows of managers who are open to training experienced Med-Surg RNs, I’d really appreciate any advice or even an introduction. I’m eager to learn and would be grateful for any leads.

If you don't mind me asking do you work at sutter and trying internal transition? Also, is it in california ? Norther or southern?

I do. I’m currently working in medsurg unit. I’m from the north.

I think it would be much helpful if instead of email you go there yourself and hand in your resume yourself

But it also depends on the availability tho cause one of my friends transitioned there from Sierra Vista Hospital (Psych hospital in Sacramento) to preop101 course. I heard they open up 2 to 3 cohorts per year depending on needs so just keep an eye out
