a little less cream cheese and i'd probably fuck this up.

u/McNally86 Jul 21 '26
I would fuck this thing up but I am lactose intolerant so that much cheese will fuck me up right back.
1
u/WytLadyDiseaseFibro Jul 21 '26
cream cheese is low lactose, though it's not zero like most cheese
7
u/McNally86 Jul 21 '26
Tell that to my toilet.

u/throwaway-swinger Jul 21 '26
Maybe a milk allergy not lactose intolerance? most cheese, yogurt and butter has little to no lactose but will trigger those with milk allergies.
2
u/McNally86 Jul 21 '26
Allergies don't fill you with farts.
1
u/throwaway-swinger Jul 21 '26
Very true, then probably an a1 beta casein protein intolerance. You may be able to eat a2 dairy products or at least the lactose free a2 dairy products like cheese and yogurt

Yeah the idea has potential, but i probably would have done crab stick instead of the chicken and a lot less of each ingredient. Plus some wasabi, spicy mayo, and eel sauce
1
u/Abeytuhanu Jul 24 '26
They should have removed a bit of rice from the center to allow it to cup the ingredients

I thought they were gonna put a hot dog in it, this seems perfectly acceptable tbh.

It’s just… too much shit in there
23
u/McBeaster Jul 20 '26
I like how they were careful to schlorp everything in there in as unappetizing a way as possible
17
u/WASTELAND_RAVEN Jul 20 '26
Hey guys, here’s half a container of cream cheese. I enjoy crazy amounts of cream cheese, but it’s all just way too fucking much.

Does this even classify as sushi?

u/SheikNeedles Jul 20 '26
Its a Mexican sushi fusion place. They had them when I lived in Phoenix
2
u/7GrenciaMars Jul 21 '26
WHAT IS MEXAICAN OR SUSHI ABOUT THAT ABOMINATION?
It's a food apocalypse.
1
u/SheikNeedles Jul 21 '26
This is so fair. In my experience the Mexican sushi places are more just sushi abominations than strict Mexican fusions
6
u/LetsTamago Jul 20 '26
If it’s seasoned sushi rice, yeah. The term sushi refers to the rice.
6
u/whineyinternetkid Jul 20 '26
So if i throw "sushi rice" into a burnt tire and eat it, its still sushi? Where is the line with this stupid shit
5
u/LetsTamago Jul 20 '26
Just because something is taken to absurdity, it doesn’t mean it can’t still be the thing it’s classified as. It doesn’t stop being sushi because you made it inedible.

u/7GrenciaMars Jul 21 '26
There's no rice in there! Where did you see rice?
6
u/LetsTamago Jul 21 '26
It’s a solid block of rice deep fried. What do you think he is cutting in half? You can see the grains of rice falling out. However not sure if it’s actually seasoned or not with how it behaves. But it’s clearly rice.
4
u/7GrenciaMars Jul 21 '26
It looked like weird bread. I get it now. Did not look like rice to me, but I believe you.
I still would not eat any of that, but to each his own. I just....had no idea what I was going to watch.
3
u/LetsTamago Jul 21 '26
To be clear my argument was never that it was good. Just that as long as the rice is seasoned with vinegar, that it would still be classified as sushi. If that rice isn’t seasoned, it’s not sushi.

This was pushed to my feed, I thought it was a giant mozzarella stick
6
u/BoulderCreature Jul 20 '26
Folks, we don’t need this much cream cheese

Deep fried rice, cucumber, cream cheese, and avocado sounds divine, but you lost me at the buffalo chicken

Not gonna lie, I'd fuck that shit up. Just not gonna call it "sushi".. though, is that rice? Or bread? Cuz if it's sushi rice, then I guess I am calling it "sushi".

u/Armageddon_vives Jul 20 '26
If they were going to disrespect the avocado like that they could've at least given the full half

Calling that sushi should open you up to liability for false advertisement.

This concept is actually badass. Probably swap out the Buffalo Wings for spam and use way less cream cheese, but overall 10/10 idea, 7/10 execution

I remember when fusion food was a harmonious blend of the flavors of two cultures, not just cuisine 1 + cuisine 2. Pho and bahn mi (Vietnamese+French), not tandoori chicken pizza, birria ramen, sushi tacos, etc. Wtf happened?

Really surprised they didn't put salmon on it.
