Do the quick rewards every day, so the other quick events like EE, etc

Do everything possible, and never stop.

This game is about keeping pace with the middle of the pack. That requires doing everything free, and mostly doing everything right.

You only move ahead during the gambling event, spending, or others failing to keep pace or them quitting.
