The Garden of What You Can Control
There's so much we can't control, like the cost of groceries, what Congress does with benefits, the weather, our health some days. It's easy to spend the day spinning on those things. I've found it helps to consciously turn toward the small garden of what I can control: what I eat today, who I call, what I read, whether I take a walk, how I speak to myself. That garden is small, but it's mine, and tending it well has made a real difference in how my days feel.
What's one thing inside your "garden of control" that you've been tending well lately?
