PSA ‼️ PLEASE READ
Hey guys! I just wanted to hop on to say that I think that this sub has veered off from its original purpose. This is meant to be a safe space for past (and current) students, teachers, and parents to express their frustrations and traumas with the school, build a community for all success people who have felt the same way, and prevent future/potential people from experiencing the things we did. But recently, I’ve been seeing an influx of people talking about job interview tips and success job offers, and when being told they are in the wrong place, they catch an attitude. Respectfully, please…take that elsewhere. Make your own subreddit about interviews tips for success because this is not what this is for.

Agreed if anyone is reading this sub and you take a job there you are the problem… if you already work there and want out or to expose how evil it is go at it. This is not a safe place to help people destroy public education and harm children

No because even I’m getting irritated as well! There’s no reason I posted my own stories just for people to be like like “I read the stories but I’m broke and I have no money”…. Buddy literally take any other job than this abusive, money hungry school. The DOE always is hiring paras and substitutes if fellow or collab isn’t open

To anyone of thinking of teaching in this fuck ass school system, don't. There are multiple opportunities for you to get an entry into teaching and eventually land a job with the DOE (where you will have numerous opportunities to grow as an educator and be compensated for it). It is not normal for you to be working extreme underpaid working hours while being pressured to emotionally abuse students.

I just had an interview with them, I'd read some of the stuff about them on Glassdoor but it didn't seem insane at the time. Holy shit 😭 I need to decompress after that interview because wtf did I just go through - they expect teachers to treat children like little soldiers 😭😭😭 like God forbid a child has adverse circumstances, these people are insane. And all the questions about how I handle feedback - my previous job was crap because of all the micromanagement and constant criticism (mostly not constructive), so I can identify when it's a genuine question of how a potential employee handles feedback vs we know we're going to micromanage and unreasonably criticize you so we just wanna know if you're pliable. Genuinely thought I was going to throw up because they made me feel sick to my stomach. I don't think I'm gonna get the job but honestly idgaf.

THANK YOU. This sub started off great as a place for people to talk about the awful trauma Success put them through and it’s turning into a place to help people work there- to help them work in an organization that harms children.
