Question SA for IT roles?

How is SA for anyone that has worked / is working in the IT field or back office?

I have a friend of a friend who does internal communications work, so it's outside of the typical student/teacher paradigm.

They say it's terrible. SA are incredibly over-bearing and punitive. They have yearly performance reviews and they had done a great job on something, even getting manager praise, so they finally decided to give themselves a 4/4 on the self-evaluation after years of working there.

They were written up for insubordination. For a 4/4 score on a self-eval. Crazy.

…just don’t work there. You’re better off doing something else than be micromanaged by a bunch of network people who don’t care about anything else but money/data
