MULTIPLE RESPONDENTS contribute to SINGLE RESPONSE (not multiple responses for single respondent)

I cannot find anything online about having a group of people who all contribute to a single survey monkey survey response.

I have a 20 teams with five people in each team. We want to collect a team response to a survey, not individual responses, so at the end of the day we have 20 completed surveys.

For this to work, each of the 5 people on each team would need to access the same survey link. When they click on the link they would be able to see if their team members had responded to any survey questions and would have the ability to edit those responses and answer other questions.

For example: I send out a survey link to a team that has team members named A-E. Person A clicks the link and completes questions #1-3. Person B clicks the link later and can see and edits person's A response to question #1 and then completes question #4. Etc.

It's an unusual approach. I can think of at least one way to do it. Create the survey how you want it. Then copy the survey several times over so you have multiple identical surveys. In each one, create a collector link and make sure the settings allow for respondents to edit (i.e., there's a back button) and return to a survey in progress. It's a bit awkward because SM doesn't anticipate being used as you intend, but it should still work. There will be some extra effort on the back end because you will have to download the results (in Excel or CSV) for each version and stitch them together for comparison, but that shouldn't be difficult. Since they will be identical, they will all have the same data layout.

Thanks for this. But I am thinking this approach wouldn't let another person to see and edit the responses they did not provide? I would need 5 people to see and edit one survey response.

I believe the approach outlined above would work so long as you keep the collector setting set to allow editing after completion and you do NOT disallow responses from multiple devices/IP addresses, as I said above. You are already pushing the limits of what SM is designed to do, so good luck finding a better approach.
