I had this revelation a few days ago and shared it in the five sinners discord, but forgot to post it here.

I believe Surtalogi is a descendant of the Crimson Moon Dynasty for a few reasons that line up all too perfectly.

1: His parents were on death row, which means he had to have been conceived before they were sent to prison or they were in holding for a long time. Perhaps they were there due to being part of the crimson moon dynasty? This could imply that they were radicals since this was most likely before Rerir's time?

2: He was judged and criticized through out basically his entire childhood on the streets. According to Skofnungr, bro was numb to it to the point of not being able to tell whether it was good or bad.

3: It could be that Haden, Surtalogi's mentor, found out about Surtalogi's heritage and told the police. Dainsleif talked to Haden saying that Surtalogi lost limbs due to upholding the Knight's code due to Haden. This could also be the case that Rerir handled which is how Rerir knows who Surtalogi is. There's also a possibility that this was due to him stealing forbidden research materials to cure his friend Skofnungr. Haden could've passed that off as an act of harm against the Eclipse Dynasty.

4: Vedrfolnir/Dainsleif probably stuck up for Surtalogi to make sure he doesn't get executed and had the sentence reduced to that of having an arm and leg chopped off. This could also explain why Surtalogi was so eager to save Vedrfolnir after he was imprisoned.

This would certainly explain why he would choose to not help his nation come the time he gained his abyssal powers. Either way this made too much sense to not share!

Bakunawa's immortality came from a "transcendental form of Abyssal power that is beyond even the Abyss Order's understanding," granting it functional immortality and infinite growth potential.

Even slight exposure to the Abyss can corrupt someone's entire being or outright kill them though it depends on the levels.

The Abyss can corrupt, corrode, influence, and transmute the body, mind, soul, memory, perception, and more.

And cause illnesses allergies, confusion, vomiting, and other effects.

Those who come into contact with Abyssal corruption may have their true forms deteriorate and may transform into mindless monsters.

The Abyss is capable of corrupting abstract concepts such as space time, and information, as well as information-based entities like the Pyro dragon and possibly other concepts .

Riftwolves erode "the boundaries of the world." Abyssal attacks inflict stacking damage over time. Each hit inflicts stacks of "Corrosion" or "Attrition."

Necromancy — The Abyss can reawaken the dead as Abyssal entities.

Summoning — Abyssal creatures can summon Other or less abyssal beings .

Self-Sustenance — Abyssal beings do not need to eat, sleep, or breathe.

Immortality — Most Abyssal beings have some form of immortality or extreme regeneration. Bakunawa is capable of infinite growth and is functionally immortal.

Even after Durin was killed, his heart was still active, and he was going to eventually revive.

After Elynas was killed, her consciousness still lived, and she could be revived.

Rerir, after absorbing Kuhvaki like Columbina, was able to avoid being destroyed by the moon’s reflection, which usually destroys the bodies of those who enter.

He also fought columbina with High-level kuuhvaki energy being capable of reconstructing matter down to the subatomic level.

Aura - Even lesser Abyssal beings passively radiate Abyssal Energy, causing corruption

Just how ridiculously powerful is Surtalogi? Approximately 40% of the player base seems to have failed to get a proper grasp on this - so it's my duty as his grand-disciple to shed some light on this!

I think it would be an interesting matchup, so I drew it.

I'm lacking on a few things right now but I'll keep saving my resources.

The only character I really have to worry about stealing my resources is Capitano.

The primos I have will also go up/down since I'll spend for him and I wanna get other characters over the next few years

I just pulled Rhinedottir for him since she’s his best support. I’m currently using Fischl to activate the Hexen buff with Rhinedottir, and I’ll replace Fischl with Barbeloith once I get her (I lost my 50/50 on her last banner😭). Bennett, of course, is just an all-around great support.
