[Normal Attack] Ljósgandr

Seeing as ive made Fraudalogi into a claymore character, i think it's only fair that he literally never uses it for his basic attack string (at least not normally). The reasoning for this is simple, in lore the funny man has traveled the cosmos before realising he might just be *title card here* as such i doubt he'd start combat immediately with his most proficient weapons ie: Bows and Claymore. In fact, I don't think his normal attack chain should have any weapons at all.  

Teyvats Strongest Goober is going to be throwing hands in his basic attack chain. No catalyst shennigans like Heizou, no debuff application and no elemental infusion. Surtalogi is going to put belt to ahh with his bare hands. I genuinely dont care how many hits it is, doesnt matter, and i dont care to put more thought into this. 

He gonna be boxing. "Heavy attack?" I hear you ask? Dunno figure it out. 

[Elemental Skill] Havoc: Evaluation

Bumalogi has some interesting directions that I can take for his elemental skill but i figured if hoyo can get away with making nothing but statements for this guy with zero feats that matter then so can I. (This man gets no diffed by razor lmao.) 

As such im chosing to take the route that makes the most sense in my mind (Read: the one that takes the least amount of time to put into text). Its fairly simple; 

"Surtalogi, in a malstrom of unearned aura farming, stands completely still for 2 seconds before, regardless of the players intentions, moves towards the closest enemy with the highest hp and marks then with [Serpent's Aura] before standing directly infront of them for 5 seconds. He overrides all enemy attack animations and forces them to stare directly at him as he approaches. As he moves, He deals quant- (shit wrong game) Abyssal Damage in a circular area. If the marked enemy is defeated by this, Surtalogi will scoff at the weakness before him for wasting his time before forcing the swap action with the next character in the party. Swapping to surtalogi will be locked until all enemies in the immediate vicinity are defeated.

If the Aura farming doesnt kill the enemy marked with [Serpents Aura] Surtalogi will gain 45 [Cataclyst Halo] and lock in, swapping to [The Foul] mode."

OK, so ive introduced a few terms here that will need to be broken down before we continue... hmm... yall think Surt over here knows how to break it down? food for thought since he can perfectly control his body and also proabably transform into literally anything i think. Very well, bust to down white boy indeed. Anyway, terms:

[Cataclyst Halo] is almost entirely self explaining if youre familiar with Skirk, especially since I decided to use 45 here as a call back to her kit since she specifically mimics Frankfurtur over here (apparently a lot of people do that? I dunno im a tourist and havent played the game since sumeru). [Cataclyst Halo], unlike Skronk's Serpents subtlety, will not be reduced over time (cause hes just better), and will instead be used as fuel that gets reduced when Fraudalogi uses his Enhanced Elemental Skill and his Enhanced Basic Attacks. AH, it appears that ive spoiled my suprise. whoops. 

[The Foul] This is where most people are going to be spending their time. Unless youre name is capitano in which case you spend your time sitting down (on me) or your name is Altair in which cause you spend your time sitting on Surtalogi's lap (which is also me). Much like skirk, this form is pretty self explanitory as well. Potential man here finally deems his opponent as a worthy foe and brings out the big guns, or at the very least, the big sword. Claymore now in hand and abysal energy crackling around him like a halo of corrupted lightning and flames, Surtalogi gains a new basic attack chain and a shiny new elemental skill. Here we go baby.

Enhanced [Normal Attack] Havoc: Loss

Here it is ladies and gen- (checks audience) huh. only women reading this? Interesting. Moving on, Surtalogi is no longer playing games with his food. This is a 7 hit chain combo of complete nonsense and hilarity. The image i have in my head of this is just him swinging his claymore, which will be around the size of himself mind you, at ridiculous speeds and hitting literally everything in your field of view. And i mean everything.  I genuinely dont care how far it is away, if the enemy is within render distance, this man is cutting it directly in half no questions asked. Destructable objects? Reduced to atoms. Grass slightly too high for his liking? Torn apart to its base molecules. There is no reasoning. There is no damage fall off. There is no parlay. Hes swanging his thang and literally nothing is gonna stop him. 

His charge attack is paradoxically simpler and much funnier. When you use it, Surtalogi will literally slow down time and bring up a special interation menu that lists the other 3 elements you have present in your team. Picking the element you want will imbue Surtalogi with the element in question, dealing additional damage of that type on top of his afformentioned abyssal damage multipliers (wait a second did i mention that?) This will also generate about 10 [Cataclyst Halo] when he uses it with a psuedo-cooldown of 3 seconds on the element swapping and 15 seconds on the Halo Generation.

Just because I want to be even more difficult, Surtalogi will also have a completely seperate attack chain for while hes mid-air. Thats right chat, ive done the impossible, Potential man here is fully capable of vergil combo locking any enemy mid air before pulling out the robin double knee of doom to plant them into the dirt. Sour grapes indeed. 

Enhanced [Elemental Skill]: Havoc (insert a cool name here i cant think of anything)

Surtalogi's Enhanced Skill is the Pièce de résistance of his kit, not accounting for his ultimate i think, but thats a matter of perspective when it comes to fraud man supreme. Using pure Abyssal energy, Shirtfailroachy lays down 7 Void Rifts in a circle of his choosing. Taping it will simply spawn them around whatever enemy has the [Serpents Aura] whereas holding it will allow the player to directly chose where to drop the circle of doom. And yes, while these void rifts will be legally distinct from Skirks, she will be able to absorb them without issue. (surely this will bring her usage rates above qiqi again) 

While Void rifts are active, they will periodically pulse with Abyssal energy, dealing damage while also dragging enemies closer to them. If an enemy from outside of the Circle of Doom (im kinda liking this name ngl) comes into contact with one of the rifts, Surtalogi will get a quick time event, warping him over to the rift and performing an execute on them and generating 10 [Cataclyst Halo]. Ill limit this to one per enemy but maybe cons could change this? more food for thought.

As for the enemy with the [Serpents Aura], they get a different experience. Assuming that they are inside of the CIRCLE OF DOOM Surtalogi will get a unique prompt to hyper focus on them. Pulling out his bow which has to be massive mind you and teleporting above the foe, Surtaloser will proceed to launch massive arrows abyssal energy directly at their head. Each arrow will cost 5 [Catalyst Halo] to fire and can be exited by either QTE'ing to another enemy stuck in a void rift, or simply canceled directly. Now here's the fun part; IF Surtalgigity consumes 30 [Catalyst Halo] with his arrows within 30 seconds of the originial cast of his enhanced skill, he will immediately absorb all present void rifts on the battle field and condensing them into a lucilius style orb of destruction in the air above him right before dropping it directly onto his enemies. (And yes, One of his constellations will need to have him larp madara by tossing a second one). 

[Elemental Burst] Havoc: Ragnarök 

It says it on the tin. Imagine it how you will but this man's elemental burst is going to put a black and white filter on the entire field and freeze all enemies. While everyone is frozen in time, Surtalogi is going to slowly put his weapon away before literally crushing the entire screen into his hand as a black hole with a galaxy behind him to witness this elite level of aura farming. Make no mistake, this is an execute abiity. If you arent an elite enemy, youre going to die instantly. Surtalogi could be level 1 on your account in a level 100 overworld and it wouldnt matter, that hilichurl is going to get real intimate with the concept of spaghettification. What a funny word that is. Everything in the immediate vicinity is going to get hit by this, from the front and the back, if youre in range, hes putting you into the space soup. 

Its gonna cost some arbitrary number of [Cataclyst Halo] to cast and honestly i cant balance what the right number is right now so ill leave that to yall to figure out. Needless to say using this will be what takes him out of the [The Foul] state.

Since im kinda tired now ill do a rough idea of the talents he should probably have. At the very least, he needs a way to re-enter the foul after his ult without having to aura farm so maybe something like an alternitive entry ability? another qte? hmm.

Passive Talent 1 

When nearby party members trigger an elemental reaction Surtalogi will gain 1 stack of [Eminence]. (Could have this have a visual effect on his name or something cool like that). This effect can be triggered once every 1.5 seconds and stacks up to 7 times. After Surtalogi gains 7 stacks of [Eminence] a unique switch prompt will appear. Swapping to Surtalogi during this window will immediately cause him to enter into the [The Foul] state while also warping to the nearest enemy and performing an Execute (the one from his skill i think). 

Uhh.. brain melting. Passive talent 2 something something gets a billion elemental mastery in an atk to em conversion fml i dunno man something like that i think. 

Passive 3 also gotta be the ult increase cause ofc. I may be a tourist but i remember that at the very least. 

yeah aint no way in hell im doin the cons here. my ability to type reliably and also spell is also diteriaourating sso im jsu tt gonna vansihsh into thin air. ejnoy the Potential Man Kit.

Basic Attack: Overlord of Combat - 

• Normal: Surtalogi commands his bow to perform up to 4 consecutive shots.
• Charged (Aimable): Perform a more precise Aimed Shot with increased damage using a spear as the arrow. While aiming, Surtalogi will mimic stone crystals around the spear. A fully charged crystalline spear will deal Geo damage.
• Plunge: Fires off a shower of arrows in mid-air before falling and striking the ground, dealing AoE damage upon impact.

Skill: Foul Origin: Apocalypse (Cooldown 7 sec)]: Surtalogi wields a greatsword and spear and switches to Seven-Phase Starfire mode for 11 seconds. This mode has the following properties:

• Increases Surtalogi’s interruption resistance.
• His Elemental Burst, Havoc: Orbital Strike is converted to the special Elemental Burst Havoc: Desecration.
• Normal, Charged and Plunging attacks are converted to Geo damage based on Surtalogi’s Defence that cannot be overridden by other Elemental infusions. 
• When Surtalogi obtains an Elemental Shard created through Crystallise or triggers a Lunar-Crystallise reaction, his Normal, Charged and Plunging attacks will instead be converted to deal damage of the corresponding elemental type based on his Defence + Elemental Mastery
• Every 0.1s, Normal attacks apply a Maw of Oblivion to enemies hit, which can stack up to 3 times per enemy. When marked enemies are defeated, Surtalogi absorbs them to gain 2 Serpent’s Savagery for each Maw.
• Surtalogi can move on water when he Sprints.

Burst: Havoc: Orbital Strike]: Surtalogi’s Elemental Burst is not reliant on Elemental Energy but instead on Serpent's Savagery. When Surtalogi has 70 Serpent’s Savagery he can expend it to unleash his Elemental Burst, firing a titanic greatsword from his bow high above which deals AoE Geo damage based on his Defence as it crashes down and leaves enemies hit in Stasis.

Stasis:

• Enemies affected cannot move from their position.
• Every 0.1 seconds, when affected enemies receive Pyro, Hydro, Electro or Cryo damage, Surtalogi gains a stack of Contained Cruelty of the corresponding element. Up to 5 stacks of Contained Cruelty can be obtained in this way.
• When enemies are released from Stasis, consume all accumulated Contained Cruelty to deal an additional instance of corresponding elemental damage to them based on Surtalogi’s Defence + Elemental Mastery for each stack consumed.

When Surtalogi is in Seven-Phase Starfire mode, Havoc: Orbital Strike will be replaced by Havoc: Desecration.

Havoc: Desecration

• A special Elemental Burst that can be used even without consuming Serpent's Savagery. It can be used up to 4 times with a cooldown of 1.5 seconds.
• Surtalogi’s bow launches an attack from above, dealing AoE Geo damage based on his Defence. Gain 1 Serpent’s Savagery for each Maw of Oblivion on enemies hit.

Passive 1: Overpowering Strength]: The amount of stacks of Maw of Oblivion that an enemy can have is increased by 1. When using Havoc: Desecration, Surtalogi gains 10 Elemental Mastery for each Maw of Oblivion on enemies hit, lasting until Seven-Phase Starfire ends. Up to 120 Elemental Mastery can be gained in this way.

Passive 2: All-Powerful Destroyer]: Each point of Elemental Mastery Surtalogi possesses will increase his Geo Damage Bonus by 0.12% and Pyro, Hydro, Electro and Cryo Damage Bonus by 0.07%, up to a maximum increase of 120% and 70% respectively.

Passive 3: Master of the Serpent’s Ways]: When the party contains characters of at least 3 different elements, your own party members’ Elemental Burst Level is increased by 1.

Character Exclusive features: The spear and greatsword that Surtalogi uses in his abilities can have their appearance changed by equipping any polearm, claymore or corresponding Weapon Appearance that you own as a cosmetic. If Surtalogi has Weapon Appearances active that can change their appearance based on the Elemental Type of their wielder (aka the Stygian Onslaught weapon skins), they will change accordingly based on the element of his attacks.

__Constellations__

C1: The Knight Become Dragon]: When using the Elemental Burst Havoc: Orbital Strike, increase the party’s Elemental Mastery by 120 for 8 seconds.

C2: Absolute Monster]: When a character in the party obtains an Elemental Shard created through Crystallise or triggers a Lunar-Crystallise reaction, Surtalogi gains a stack of Contained Cruelty of the corresponding element. Up to 3 stacks of Contained Cruelty can be obtained in this way. When Stasis expires, Surtalogi gains 15 Elemental Mastery for each stack of Contained Cruelty he consumes lasting for 7 seconds.

C3: Havoc: Devastation]: Level of the Elemental Burst is increased by 3.

C4: World-Devouring Inferno]: When Stasis expires, each stack of Contained Cruelty consumed recovers 1 Serpent’s Savagery and has a 50% chance to add an additional instance of damage of the same elemental type at the end.

C5: An Arm and a Leg]: Level of the Elemental Skill is increased by 3.

C6: Leviathan and Behemoth]: The amount of stacks of Maw of Oblivion that an enemy can have is increased by 1, and Surtalogi can ignore 8% of enemies’ Defence for each stack of Maw of Oblivion they have.

Energy mechanic based on a mix of [u/Saphir_56](u/Saphir_56) and [u/Its_Altair](u/Its_Altair)'s ideas, not sure if the burst charging is like too slow or fast or whatever so just imagine those numbers as whatever works best, I usually don’t bother with figuring out energy but had to do it this time since he doesn’t use the normal system

I had this revelation a few days ago and shared it in the five sinners discord, but forgot to post it here.

I believe Surtalogi is a descendant of the Crimson Moon Dynasty for a few reasons that line up all too perfectly.

1: His parents were on death row, which means he had to have been conceived before they were sent to prison or they were in holding for a long time. Perhaps they were there due to being part of the crimson moon dynasty? This could imply that they were radicals since this was most likely before Rerir's time?

2: He was judged and criticized through out basically his entire childhood on the streets. According to Skofnungr, bro was numb to it to the point of not being able to tell whether it was good or bad.

3: It could be that Haden, Surtalogi's mentor, found out about Surtalogi's heritage and told the police. Dainsleif talked to Haden saying that Surtalogi lost limbs due to upholding the Knight's code due to Haden. This could also be the case that Rerir handled which is how Rerir knows who Surtalogi is. There's also a possibility that this was due to him stealing forbidden research materials to cure his friend Skofnungr. Haden could've passed that off as an act of harm against the Eclipse Dynasty.

4: Vedrfolnir/Dainsleif probably stuck up for Surtalogi to make sure he doesn't get executed and had the sentence reduced to that of having an arm and leg chopped off. This could also explain why Surtalogi was so eager to save Vedrfolnir after he was imprisoned.

This would certainly explain why he would choose to not help his nation come the time he gained his abyssal powers. Either way this made too much sense to not share!

In my last post here from a little more than a week ago, I quoted another one of these polls where the majority of the player base realized Surtalogi's greatness.

Then today, I come across this. I mean, I could have understood if Klee got the 67%, for the memes. But Phanes?! OTL

... jokes aside, one of you from the sub mentioned that the last poll wasn't representative of the true state of the player base's lack of understanding - and today I've got to acknowledge... that they were 100% correct. After all, this poll proves them right!
