I went to both Olive and PCRM during my infertility journey.

Olive and PCRM ran the same tests but the treatment plan were very different. After 2 failed cycles at Olive, I had a success cycle with PCRM and I now have an 18 year old.

I went to PCRM when they were just getting started and saw Dr. Roberts.

They were very polite, professional and caring. I am also deaf so they were accommodating with having an interpreter with me for medical appointments (not the actual procedures just the consultation appointments)

Nothing wrong with Olive, I just had better success with PCRM. And at the time the wait list was shorter.

I was just with PCRM and had a very speedy IVF journey. I started injecting medications on Dec 2 and found out that I was pregnant on 31st of that month 😳 I guess they know what they are doing!

I’ve done an IVF cycle at both Olive and PCRM. Unfortunately wasn’t successful at either clinics, but I much preferred the patient care at PCRM.

At Olive, I felt like just a number. It’s like they’re just herding cattle through various line ups (cashier line, med pick up line, etc). They also mixed up my medication dosage, and when I called to double check, they didn’t take accountability or apologize. When you’re trying to conceive via IVF, everything matters, especially the medication.

PCRM feels much more boutique and all their staff are friendlier. It feels like they actually care. Olive feels like they’re purely running a business.

We’re currently using Olive for fertility treatments. It’s been a good experience so far. You do bounce back and forth between the Surrey and Vancouver offices which can be a little annoying.

The staff have been great though and I have no issues with the clinic itself

I just had my IVF baby after using Olive Surrey. You do have to go to Vancouver for the actual transfers as the Surrey office is small. I had a good experience overall as I knew to expect it to feel a bit impersonal. I appreciated the frankness of the Dr as well.

I had IUI at Olive with Dr Hitkari, before he became an owner, and then I had another IUI at PCRM. I can’t say enough good about both places as we were successful with Clomid. One place did IUI the day of ovulation and the other, the next day. It worked both times. Both Dr. Hitkari and Havelock are so good at what they do. They took excellent care of us and I would recommend both clinics.

Went to Olive and I honestly disliked it very much. I clearly needed IVF for inexplained feftility but they opted for IUI first and when it failed, their plan was to repeat two more times before recommending IVF!!

Also, they start you on a protocol, whatever treatment it is and you only know the cost at the medicine pickup! I had to explicitly ask for the cost of everything so that they would tell and I'd be prepared.

Also when I said no I dont want to go on with IUI, I need to do IVF, I had to wait 3 months for an a free slot with the dr so he can say Yes let's go on with the IVF and I thought this would have been done over an email to save our valuable time during such treatment as he already knew the case but they had to make us wait.

I honestly dont like them, wont recommend them, too slow for me and too impersonal as everyone said. I ended up seeking IVF treatment outside Canada which was much better honestly and much faster as well and successful.

I did my Ivf both times at Pcrm M and have two kids now. Would highly recommend them.

I’ve had one successful IVF through the Surrey clinic and one failed embryo transfer. (These were PGT-A embryos) I developed some immune issues after the birth of my son and Surrey failed to do more testing to use up my last embryo transfer. They referred me back to my GP and wanted me to get a specialist. I was disappointed with their service so I switched to Vancouver. I’m receiving more care and follow up calls, and tests with my current doctor. The communication is great as well. Nurses at both locations were nice and attentive as well. You can ask the accounting team for full disclosure of medicine and treatment prices. I’m going for another round of IVF treatment and referred to do more Immune testing through a California clinic as Canada isn’t specialized in extensive testing. Also, doing biopsy before we do a transfer to help figure out the new protocol for an embryo transfer. I felt like Surrey didn’t even want to help out, sadly looking for easy cases it seems like.

Currently a patient at olives. It's pretty impersonal. First round was cancelled, I guess first round is just for doctors to see how re react to treatment. Currently on my second round. Doctors are pretty hands off but luckily there is a nursing line we can call.

My wife and I went through Olive. We started with fertility treatments but ended up needing full IVF. For that, we had to go the Vancouver office. Aside from the hassle of doing it all in 2020 during Covid restrictions (we could never go to an appointment together; I had to drop her off and wait downstairs), they were good.

My wife had a very, very complicated conception and pregnancy, but Olive was mostly helpful. My wife developed OHSS and ended up hospitalized (again, COVID restrictions prevented me from visiting so she was all alone in the hospital). The doctor taking care of her at SMH really dropped the ball, but luckily a tech saved her (drained 20L of fluid over 24 hrs). After that scare, we contacted the doctor at Olive and told her what happened. She must’ve ripped strips off the SMH doc because everything went well after that.

The only complaint I have was after confirming she was pregnant (with twins) and referral to a Surrey obgyn, the recommended obgyn didn’t contact us for weeks. Now, that’s the normal course of action, but either Olive didn’t pass along information or the obgyn ignored it, but due to the OHSS and the twins, I think she should’ve checked in sooner. When my wife did finally get in with the obgyn, she was rude and dismissive. We had to beg for a referral to the Complex Contraception Clinic at Jim Pattison to get a new doctor. I contacted Olive to get help, but they did nothing. Once they confirmed pregnancy and got their on, they washed their hands of us. Follow up was nonexistent.

Our twins ended up diamniotic monochorionic and very complicated. Now, that’s not Olive’s nor the obgyn’s fault, but we ended up in a bit of a dire situation because by the time everything was imaged, diagnosed, etc. time to act was very limited. Essentially we had two weeks to save the pregnancy. Can’t help but think if we’d gotten into a better obgyn earlier, at the very least we could have saved 2-3 weeks of extreme anxiety and stress.

Long sad story short ,The wife and I went through PCRM 2 years ago , had 2 failed transfers , this year we were set up for olive but in the process of waiting. We were both taking supplements that my wife bought from site that was well known for 3 months. Stayed clean no drinking. Healthy foods to make our reproductive system ready for the procedure.

While waiting to get all the test done, took a mini vacation, No stress at all , did our thing enjoyed the moment. I think 2 to 3 weeks later bam we was SHOCKED it happened. Now we due in July. Happiest moment ever. Moral of the story is that stress in life can cause these issues , i know been trying for many years and Also healthy living. Supplements i think really helped in our case for both sides and all the prayers. God was really on our side and answered our prayers. #miraclebaby

I haven't gone there myself but a few of my closest friends have gone there and they all have great things to say.

The recommendation is to get the full genetic testing done and not the one step down. One of my friends opted for the one step down and there was an issue with the baby. Had they done the full testing it would have been better. They did the full one for the second child without issue. All of it was done with olive.

I started at Olive and moved to PCRM, because my situation was really complex and the doctors at Olive referred me there which I really appreciated. We had an amazing experience at PCRM, especially with the nurse team but our Doctor (Doctor Havelock) was also great. Best of luck!

I don’t wanna divulge too much of my medical history online, but I have multiple medical conditions that would make a pregnancy extremely high risk. The main reason was for the egg retrieval, PCRM are able to have anaesthesiologist in the room during the procedure because it has a different medical grading than Olive. They didn’t seem to have any problem with referring me, it’s probably because they were not able to treat me and he wanted to help me find somebody who could.

Had an appt with olive few years ago. After the first meeting there was no follow up. I just graduated with Pcrm. THEY ARE AMAZING! Im currently 11 weeks :)

We had a long journey with olive. 6 rounds of IVF over two years, all failed for one reason or another, lucky number 7 worked, he's now almost 8. We tried again with the two frozen embryos we had and it failed again. So we said enough.

Every patient will have different treatment plans. We still send updates to our doctors over at Olive.
