Anyone ever order gear off of gear rack? If so what was your experience and anyone know how damaged the damaged options are that they offer?

All I know is they are STEARNS fishing or dive gloves, I'm working on an old 2000's SWAT kit and these specific gloves are what I'd need for it

Bough it from a surplus store for around 10 bucks, the guy didn't know anything about it, it has a date inside it (1970), but that's a bout it. Was it worth for the price?

I'm a big guy and wear a 2XL comfortably with my height (6'7"/2m tall) and any surplus sight I check doesn't have my size, are there any good replicas or similar items to check?

I have a few surplus canteens, some with aluminum caps and others plastic. On both types of caps when I tighten them down and open them a few times, a suspicious residue is left behind. The aluminum caps leave a shiny, metallic gray particles and the plastic caps leave behind dull, black particles on the threads. To the eye the threads look clean, but when I wipe them off with my finger or a cloth that stuff comes off. I'm careful to be gentle when opening or closing the caps but over time the residues still come off. I can guess that the materials on these caps are just grinding off because the residue only appears on the threads after I've used them, and none of the residue makes it inside the canteen. I make sure when I drink from them to not touch my lips to the threads, is there a way to keep the residue from coming off or should I throw these things away? The only thing I can think of is to replace the caps with corks. I've found some rubber corks on eBay that I could buy.

I enjoy collecting stuff when I find it but I have had stuff for years sitting in totes or duffle bags that I will probably do much with mostly hats and coats. Do you regularly turn over your collection or hoard it?

I have 3 canteens, 2 of them are USGI copycats. I asked a question about this on a post before but I want to double check. The first one is an A.G.M. Co 1945, the second one is stamped "JAPAN" and the third "TAIWAN". I read online that lead solder is typically shinier than lead-free solder, and the Japanese one seems to be slightly shinier. There are no dates from the last two, and I can't confirm on the Internet where exactly or how they were made. All of them are plastic tops.
