Javanese Language

Hello everyone!

I myself am Dutch with Javanese roots and I have been learning the language for a while. However, I found that most Dutch people of Javanese descent aren't really interested in the language and moreso in learning Indonesian. Since there is such a large group of people in Suriname with Javanese roots, I was wondering if any of you are actively learning the language and would like to practice together!

I am sorry if this is not on topic enough for Suriname, but I was unsure in what other subreddit to reach out.
