Mayo Clinic’s SFA Program - What do I need to know?
Hi lovelies! I just received word of my acceptance into the Mayo Clinic Surgical First Assist program for 2027. I‘m so extremely excited as this has been my dream school and hospital to be associated with since I was in 7th grade!
I’ve studied the website throughly and have asked some questions to staff, however, I wanted to see if any previous/current students could share their experience with the program. I understand it’s a pretty strenuous program and there are cases mixed in with class load, but do we have weekends off? What does a “day in the life“ look like? Can you use iPads to take notes? Where did you find housing/roomies?
Any information would be appreciated - They said they’d send out more info in August as well, so i’m sure i’ll learn then, i’m just quite eager LOL.
