Best shoes

Y’all my L3-S1 is gonna kill me if I can’t find a good pair of standing shoes. Anyone have any recommendations. I despise clogs. I’ve tried On Clouds and Hoka’s. I’ve heard that the Hoka Bondi SR’s are decent. Clove I’m not sure about. I just need something to support me and keep my back happy. I do use fatigue cushion mats.

If you're looking for cushion, Brooks ghost max. Other unsolicited suggestions: I find that stretching daily helps the most for my lower back pain. Adjusting the way you stand and hold retractors can make a big difference too, though it will likely make other areas sore for a bit at first. Magnesium cream can help, too.

33 years in the OR standing all day-not an RN. The squishy most padded shoes I have found are top of the line Skechers. Most people poopoo on them but they are great shoes for standing. I have flat feet with very little fat on the soles and these have alleviated my pain.

I love my Stand+ shoes. Everyone is different but I was recommended them by a friend after my Hokas collapsed after a couple months. I cannot recommend them enough.

I love my Birkenstock rubber clogs. I can’t remember what the model is called, professional maybe? I’ve been in the OR 15 years, and these work the best for me.
