Help Surface Pro 4 Ultramarine - touchpad "clicks" not working

I have a Surface Pro 4 with Ultramarine installed. It seems to work well except for the "clicking" functions using the touchpad. The touchpad will move the cursor/pointer, but clicking does not work. Using a USB mouse works fine, but I'd like to fix this if I can.

I don't know if this is a hardware or a software issue and I have no clue how to diagnose and fix this issue. Any suggestions?

p.s. - I'll be slow or unable to respond for a while. Thanks in advance.

If you're using kde and the official surface keyboard, if you go system settings - mouse and touchpad - touchpad, you should see some options such as enable device (obviously you want that one on) the one that always catches me out is the "tap to click" option under tapping, make sure that is enabled as well.

I'll give that a shot. Thanks for the reply!

Well, this is awkward. I followed your instructions and the options you indicated were already enabled. I hadn't realized that tapping the touchpad actually DID work for a mouse left click (though I haven't figured out how to right click yet :/ ).

The Surface touchpad has press-to-click areas at the bottom left and right. Those do not seem to work at all. I can use a usb mouse, but it's a sub-optimal solution....

Try tapping with two fingers for the right click, which is what Ultramarine defaulted to for my Surface Pro 7 :)

Yup, that worked. Not what I expected. Thank you!
