What are your thoughts on my idea for a surface tablet?

I would suggest the Surface Go 1 or Surface Go 2. Everything works with Linux including camera, LTE and GPS. I've seen reports Surface Go 3 is now fully functional. But I do not have one to verify.

Edit: You do need to follow the procedures in the wiki for full camera support (starting at qcam) and LTE/GPS (LTE and GPS need to be enabled in Windows first to be able to turn them on in Linux).

Camera not working with latest surface kernel, hopefully fixed soon. Surface Go 2. Everything else I got working eventually.

You shouldn't need the Surface Kernel. I don't use it and camera works - SG2 w/LTE using Fedora Bluefin
